Gujarat University is Public State Governmnet University. The UGC-recognised university is known for its flagship BSc, MBA & Law courses extended across multiple specialisations. Through this startup funding scheme, startups / innovators can avail a funding assistance of up to Rs. 10 lakh for prototype development, up to Rs. 10 lakh for marketing assistance, and a sustenance allowance of Rs. 10,000 per month for up to 12 months.

Selection Rounds
Students need to fulfil the eligibility criteria for each course to get admission. For some courses, such as MBA and PhD, students may be required to qualify for entrance exams. However, admission to courses such as UG Diploma, BA, BPA, and BDes, is based on the aspirant's marks in the last qualifying examination. Hence, for UG courses in which admission is merit-based, students aggregate in Class 12 is considered for selection. Gujarat University conducts its application process in an online mode. Given below are the application fees:

Gujarat University admission is merit-based for most of the courses. However, for some PG and PhD level programmes, aspirants need to qualify for the national or university-level entrance exam. Candidates need to complete a minimum of Class 12 to apply for UG courses whereas graduation is required to apply for PG programmes. There is no mention of whether candidates can apply for BA LLB at Gujarat University before receiving their Class 12 board exam result. Gujarat University has a big campus of 270 acres. The university offers facilities like an amphitheater, health center, NRS Lab, student exhibition hall/ ground, auditorium, hostels, computing facilities, etc. The major highlights of Gujarat University campus & facilities are discussed below:
- The university has a hostel named as Samras Chhatrlay Society Hostel, established by the Government of Gujarat With the motive of all "All caste under one roof". It has established 2 hostels of all the cast SC/ST/OBC/EBC and with a separate quota of physically handicapped students, child of a widow, orphan and backward community among SC/SC/OBC based on merit marks with minimal charges. The total capacity of the boys' hostel is 550 students & girls' hostel is 196 students. Yes, Hostel facilities are offered by the Gujarat University. The Gujarat University provides separate hostel accommodation for boys & girls. There are a total of 6 blocks for boys and 2 blocks for girls namely A and B. The hostel rooms are available with single and double occupancy, with basic amenities such as a table, chair, cupboard, and bed for each student. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The total capacity of the boys' hostel is 550 students across the 6 blocks, while the girls' hostel accommodates 196 students. The hostel rooms have a 24/7 power supply, and each hostel block features a water cooler and a water purifier.
Gujarat University has an Anti-Ragging Cell. Hence, the freshers will never meet with this problem while studying in this college. The college premises has strict laws against the student found guilty of any act such as abusing, assaulting, threatening, teasing and embarrassment to new students, among others.
