Absolutely dissatisfied because of the faculty.

Placements: There are no placements for this course. For the last 10 years, there haven't been any placements. But we can get internships and project works from different institutes like NGRI, GSI, Ground Water Board, and companies like ONGC, OIL, MECL etc. Geoscientist, etc., roles are offered.

Infrastructure: The hostel is not so good. The food available in the mess is not so good. But opposite to the AU gate, there is a distance education canteen where we get good food. This is not only for AU students but also for outsiders. There is a need to improve the food quality.

Faculty: The teachers are well-qualified. But they will not give enough knowledge to students. At present, there is no staff in the department. There are only two associate professors and two assistant professors. The curriculum is not good. We can gain some knowledge about the fieldwork.

Other: This is an applied physics course. We can find it in only some colleges in India and that too with less competition.

I am dissatisfied due to no placements.

Placements: There are no placements. Being one of the top colleges in Andhra, AUCE provides amazing placement and internship opportunities. The students get placed in companies such as Yahoo, Indian navy, Jindal steels, ISPAT steels, etc. The average CTC provided is 5 LPA and the highest CTC offered is 7 LPA. You have placements with a basic package. So I suggest better work hard for GATE or M.Sc. and put your free time into this. You will always have the reputation of the largest and the oldest University of India on your certificate as an added advantage.

Infrastructure: The study schedule is quite flexible. It's not a rigorous hectic schedule. Classes might not take place often. So you might need to put your hopes on self-study. Other than studies, you will have a lot of free time daily and vacations. It depends on you whether you put that additional time to good use for better outputs in the future. There's a great library and resource center where you can spend your time when required for study purposes. The grounds are huge, probably the biggest public grounds in Visakhapatnam, so no doubt about sports, it's up to you. Our college is the best in everything. We have all the facilities and our college is maintained well. We feel joy and happiness in everything here. The hostel life is good. Accommodation and facilities are also good. Medical facilities are top notch the campus environment feels like heaven. College of science and technology is one of the best colleges in Andhra Pradesh in Andhra University. Every department in the University has got its department library which comprises all the essential course materials and access to various books and journals, apart from that we have got a central engineering library where there are multiple copies of books which allows you to draw books, and apart from that we have got the central library in South campus which is one of its kind which is well known for the vast volumes it has got.

Faculty: Our teachers are very friendly and they will interact with us. We also have counseling every alternate month with our mentors.
