Azim Premji University Bangalore BA Courses & Fees 2025: Eligibility, Admissions, Placements, Application Process

The documents that are required for admission to BA courses at Azim Premji University are meant to be proof of educational qualification, proof of age, statement of purpose, etc. The name of the documents that candidates should bring at the time of personal interview or while applying for the course online are: 

• Class 10, 11 & 12 Marksheet
• Aadhar Card
• Bank statements of parents or guardians for the last year
• Transfer Certificate, etc. 

The application process for BA courses at Azim Premji University is different for both the candidates who are applying through the university-in-house entrance test and candidates who are applying through the entrance exam (CUET/SAT). The step-wise application process for BA courses at Azim Premji University through the university's in-house entrance test is as follows: 

• Candidates must fill out the application form, from the official website of the university. The application form collects basic personal information, educational background, etc. Once the form is filled out, submit the form and make the application fee payment of INR 500. 
• After submitting the application, they will be required to take the National Entrance Test. The online test is conducted at multiple centers across the country. 

The details of the UG entrance test for 2025 admissions are as follows: 

• National Entrance Test: 3 hours (100 marks) 
• Reading Comprehension (20 MCQs)
• Quantitative Reasoning (20 MCQs)
• Domain-specific questions (10 MCQs) 
• The domains are as follows: 
  • Humanities Domain
  • Social Science Domain

Note: There is no negative marking. 

• Those who qualify for their merit list will get notified by the university's admission department by mail, message, or call for PI. However, the conduct of the personal interview depends on the year's admission criteria.

Before applying for Azim Premji University BA scholarships, candidates are required to submit the documents that are compliant with their financial condition. For candidates applying for financial assistance, additional documents may be required, such as:

Financial Documents:

• Bank statements of parents or guardians for the last year.
• Valid income certificate (if family income is less than INR 2.5 lakhs) issued by a competent authority.
• Income Tax Returns (ITR) for the last three years (if applicable).
• Audited profit and loss statements for the last three years (if self-employed).

After the university verifies these documents, they may ask applicants for other documentation on a case-to-case basis. APU Bangalore conducts independent validation and background verification to ensure that the university's scholarships are given to deserving candidates. 

Students with an annual family income of less than INR 8 Lacs will be eligible for financial assistance provided by the university. The application process to apply for financial-based scholarships is as follows:

1. While filling out the application form, candidates are required to mention that they want to apply for financial assistance.
2. If they are selected in the admission process, candidates will be asked to fill out the detailed financial assistance form and submit the supporting documents within a specified timeframe. Additionally, candidates will need to provide the income details of all family members.
3. The university's financial assistance team will get in touch with applicants to understand and assess their financial condition, based on which a decision on financial assistance will be taken.
4. The university will conduct its verification process through a third-party agency to validate all the financial information, including income details and supporting documents provided by the applicant. If the verification does not confirm the details provided by the candidates, the university will withdraw the scholarship. The decision of the university in all such cases will be final and binding.
