the placement is not that high mostly because the students don't opt for placements rather they prefer to apply in government sectors.

M.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication - Batch of 2023

College was pretty fine, value for money, but average compared to good media colleges.
Placements: Hardly 10% of students got placed. The highest package was 3.6 LPA, and the lowest was 2.2 LPA. Only 5 out of 50 students got placement, that too on the professor's personal favors and relations. So, you have to prepare and place yourself by searching for a decent job on your own, otherwise, it is tough here.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi and labs were available, but we rarely had lab visits. The hostels were nice with average food. There were many hostels, only students from outside Uttar Pradesh got a hostel here, so be prepared for hostel and mess expenses if you are from Uttar Pradesh itself.
Faculty: The teachers were pretty helpful, and the teaching quality was good. Semester exams were not so difficult, and one can easily pass them with little hindrance, with around 90% pass outs. Just develop skills and don't worry much about marks and academics.
Other: It was a very low fee structure as it is a central university. More lab visits would be good, and that's a good thing.

M.Sc. in Physics - Batch of 2024

5Placements5Infrastructure5Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
Best university for M.Sc. in physics course.
Placements: Currently, the placements happening for us. In my senior batch, 90% of them were placed. Many companies come in looking for jobs, but most companies come in looking for employment and financial information. We had a great choice of dual specialisation, which made it easier for us to clarify what to do for the best placements. The roles offered were aeronautical engineer, laboratory technician, etc. Internships were offered.
Infrastructure: Hostel was nice and completely furnished with Wi-Fi and beds. The cuisine at the hostel was superb. The infrastructure of our lab was excellent. Our classrooms were tidy. Our college had digital classrooms. Hospital and eateries were beneficial. Our college promoted student participation in sports and games.
Faculty: Teachers in our college were very friendly and very helpful. Each professor had a Ph.D. in one subject, and the method of teaching classes was excellent. In our college, every exam was conducted as a semester exam, and supervision was strict. Every room had two teachers. The semester exam was easy, and the pass rate was 90%.

B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering - Batch of 2025
2.6
3Placements4Infrastructure3Faculty2Crowd & Campus Life1Value for Money
Infrastructure is good but placement and college life are not that good.
Placements: Placement of B.Tech (EE) is zero. I haven't seen a single placement in our branch yet, I am in my 2nd year now. If we want to appear for campus placement from this university then it is zero.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of hostel is good. Wi-Fi is available all the time. Mostly books are available in library of our branch which are easily issued by students. Classroom conditions are good. Hostel food is also good and all sub-services are available in hostels. Lab equipment are not available in labs. Infrastructure is also not that good, it is below average.
Faculty: Teachers are good, helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. Teaching qualities of teachers is also good. Classes are held on time. I do not think that the course curriculum is relevant and that it prepares students for industry. Semester exams are not too tough, anyone can pass by studying easily.
Other: I chose this course because there is a demand for electrical engineering in the public sector. I want the university infrastructure to be improved, the condition of labs to be good and placements to be arranged.

Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) - Batch of 2025

It is a nice place with 24/7 library access.
Placements: There are 100 students in my course. The highest package is 5 lacs, and the lowest is 3 lacs. Others included several NGOs, schools, and coaching centers. The teaching role involved an internship in a government school. All students completed their internships.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. The department had a library and a smart classroom, which was helpful for micro-teaching and simulated teaching. Most girls stayed in the hostel, while about 70% of the boys had to stay outside the campus. The food in the hostel was good.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable. The course is relevant, and from 2026, ITEP is scheduled to start according to NEP 2020. The exam's difficulty level is moderate. They are not too tough. The pass percentage is 99%.

M.Sc. in Life Sciences - Batch of 2026

Professors are very helpful in nature. It is a good university.
Placements: The batch is very good, there are 32 students in my class. The college faculty members do not allow us to do internships. In the last semester, there was a training program held by the university. The training programme is held by ICAR in Nainital. But they take money for this, and we go on to study tour in Uttarakhand.
Infrastructure: There is a very poor Wi-Fi connection, and the library is good. Classrooms do not have AC. In the hostel, the mess food is a disaster. The canteen is also not so good. Medical facilities are very fast but not so good. Sports and games are also available in this college. The central library is very good with full AC.
Faculty: Our professors are very polite and friendly in nature. They are always ready to help us in every situation. Exams are not that tough. Practicals are very poor at this university. They do not provide any equipment or chemicals. I am personally very disappointed by the practicals.
Other: The best thing about my course is that it has a very similar syllabus to the NET exam. My college does not have any fests or anything like that.

B.Sc. (Hons.) in Geology - Batch of 2026
2.8
1Placements3Infrastructure3Faculty3Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
A review about BBAU University from the Geology department.
Placements: The placement cell of the university is slowly catching up, but for now, placements of students only happen in some departments like MBA, B.Tech, etc. As of now, not many departments offer placements, and those that offer placements have very low packages, which are about 3 to 4 LPA. As I'm from the Department of Geology, there is no such placement activity in the department.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi: All the departments and buildings of the campus are installed with free Wi-Fi networks that every student can access using their unique login code and password. Labs: Labs are not well developed, generally lacking various major instruments and facilities that you may often find easily in other universities. Classrooms: Classrooms are well furnished, but they are not air-conditioned. You may find it difficult during the summers as the temperature within the classrooms also reaches high. Library: The library is great as it has all the books from each and every department of the university. Hostel accommodation is affordable compared to PGs outside.
Faculty: The curriculum is very relevant in every department, which may help you in further career opportunities. Exams are held three times in a semester: two mid-semesters in an interval of 1-2 months, and at the end, the end-semester exams are held, which are comparatively harder and lengthier than the mid-semesters. The faculty is helpful and friendly, and the exam level set is average.
Other: I chose this course because the curriculum taught here is very relevant and is core geology, which also makes you eligible for various exams like GATE, etc. Another factor for choosing this course was that it also has field trips organized by the department once a year, where you can travel and study the various geological entities you studied in classrooms. As of now, the field trips are self-financed, and students have to pay all the money, which is around 7-8 thousand. There is not much of a fest like in other colleges, only sports meets are held.

It depends on several things: which category you belong to (General / OBC / SC etc.), whether it's CUET score or rank, and which round of counselling. But I’ve found some data which gives a rough idea.

In 2023, the cut-off for the Integrated BSc + MSc in Basic Sciences was 62.28, while for the BSc in Life Sciences (Zoology, Botany, Biotechnology) it stood at 93.44. A downward trend was noted in the cut-offs for both programmes compared to previous years.
