The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) conducts the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) exam for admissions to the Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) course. The NBEMS GPAT 2027 registrations will start tentatively in December 2026. Candidates must register and submit the GPAT application form 2027 within the stipulated deadline to appear for the exam. The NBEMS is expected to conduct the GPAT exam in March 2027, as per the past year’s trends.

Q:   How many marks is 96 percentile in GPAT?
A: 

Getting 96 percentile in GPAT exam generally implies obtaining around 180  to 210 marks out of the total 500. However, the marks may vary depending on the difficulty level of question paper. For example, in GPAT 2025, the topper scored 216 marks at 96.23 percentile.

Q:   What is a good score in GPAT?
A: 

A score above 140 is considered to be a good score in GPAT according to the GPAT cutoff score for General category candidates. However, this score varies depending upon the GPAT cutoff for the current year. In case the cutoff touches the mark of 180 then the score of 140 is irrelevant to seek admission in top M.Pharma colleges. Candidates who will be shortlisted in the merit list will be called for further counselling procedure at the participating institutes. Therefore, the cutoff score is the most important deciding factor to get a call for counselling from preferred institute.

Q:   What is GPAT full form?
A: 

Students who want to appear in the GPAT exam are curious to know the full form of GPAT must note that it is the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT). This exam is conducted in online mode for admission to Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) programmes.

 

Q:   Is the GPAT score valid for 3 years?
A: 

The GPAT score is valid for three years. Candidates who have qualified the GPAT exam can participate in the counselling process till next three years for admissions to MPharma course.

The NBEMS GPAT 2027 registration date will be announced in the official bulletin. Candidates need to take the GPAT registration and submit the form timely. Have a look at the process to fill the GPAT application form below-

Yes, candidates whose answer is incorrect will score a negative marking of -1 mark each per question. There is no negative marking for the unattempted questions. The maximum marks of the question paper are 500. Candidates will be given 3 hours to complete the test. Carefully attempt the questions to avoid negative marking.

GPAT 2027 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill the GPAT eligibility criteria 2027 in terms of nationality and educational qualification.

  • He or she must be an Indian citizen.
  • He or she must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (4-year BPharm) or equivalent from a recognised university.
  • Candidates appearing for the final year (4th Year) BPharm and whose results will be declared before the start of MPharm admissions for the academic year 2027-28 are also eligible.
  • Candidates appearing for 3rd Year BPharm and whose results for 4th Year will be declared before the start of admissions to MPharm course for the academic year 2028-29 are also eligible.

The NBEMS will release the admit card or hall ticket of GPAT 2027 around four days before the exam. Candidates can download the GPAT admit card through their user ID and password. Have a look at the process to download the GPAT hall ticket below-

GPAT 2027 Result

The NBEMS GPAT results 2027 will be released around a month after the exam. The authority will publish the result as a PDF download file. Along with the result PDF, GPAT merit list will also be released. Candidates can know their qualification status through the GPAT result.
