Peaceful campus life, decent faculty, and great exposure for self-driven students.
Placements: I graduated from Banasthali Vidhyapith with a bachelors degree in journalism and mass communication. Around 75%-80% of students from our course got placed during the on-campus. Some either went for further studies or a government job. The highest package is 5 LPA and the lowest is 2 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Dainik Bhaskar, Hindustan Times, Zee News, and News 18.
Infrastructure: My department is pretty well-equipped in terms of infrastructure. We have access to high-speed Wi-Fi across the academic blocks, which made online research and submissions a lot smoother. The labs are well-maintained. Classrooms are spacious, clean, and mostly smart-class enabled. In Banasthali we have five fold activity also and it is good.
Faculty: Most teachers at Banasthali are quite helpful, qualified, and have good command over their subjects. Many of them hold PhDs and are actively involved in research. The teaching quality overall is decent, especially if you're someone who takes initiative and asks questions. The course curriculum is fairly updated and aligned with the basics of what the industry expects, especially for streams like computer science, electronics, and management. The semester exams are moderately difficult. Not extremely tough if you have been regular with lectures and assignments, but they do require proper understanding. Pass percentage is quite high, around 85%-90%.

Banasthali Vidyapith - A road to sacrifice for a better future.
Placements: In our college, most of the students get placed on-campus and off-campus. Most of the students opt for off-campus placement drives for better options. The top recruiting companies are India Today, Rajasthan Patrika & Dainik Bhaskar. In the latest placement drive, Inertia Pvt. Ltd. took part too. They are famous for event management, and 3 students were placed there. Rajasthan Patrika was not part of the latest placement drive. The average placement pay is 4 LPA, the highest is 8 LPA, and the lowest is 2 LPA. Internships have been made compulsory by the college and faculty, and they provide proper assistance to land you a good internship at famous companies like Bennett and Colemann, India Today, Rajasthan Patrika, News India, ABP news and more.
Infrastructure: In Banasthali Vidyapith, there is a dedicated building for each department, but the same is not true for the journalism department. The journalism department resides in the back corners of the science department, called Vigyan Mandir. We have a proper, air-conditioned and fully equipped multimedia lab, an audio/visual lab, a TV studio, a computer lab, and our very own fully functioning community radio. They have only one classroom present in that building, so most of the students are given classes either in Shiksha Mandir (the Education Department) or Vani Mandir (the all-purpose building). The classrooms are not Wi-Fi-enabled or air-conditioned. Do not expect this kind of luxury at this college. The hostel is pretty good. If compared, it's far better than many other government colleges. Sometimes they lack the basic necessities of cleanliness and water. But the rest is fine. There are three occupied and 4 occupied rooms available. Beds, an almirah, a wooden cupboard and a desk are given. The mess food is just like other colleges; it is very bad. Medical facilities are the worst. Do not come to this college if you have any serious medical conditions. There is a hospital available on campus, along with two medical stores. But the functioning of the hospital is bad and most of the time, you are going to get misdiagnosed with serious illnesses. There are plenty of facilities for almost every kind of sport or extracurricular activity. It is also mandatory to take part in at least one extra activity.
Faculty: The faculty of my course is very nice. All the professors are highly qualified and experienced in their fields of research. There are times when the same professors will teach many topics, but they do it with excellence so that's okay. The course curriculum is rich. You'll get to study so many topics in such an interesting way. No doubt, the faculty and curriculum are the reasons why people choose Banasthali over everything else. There are two mid-terms and one end-of-term exam. All exams are important. And they take attendance very seriously. They do not negotiate attendance. And they give an average GPA of 6 to almost everyone.
Other: I always wanted to go into PR and media communication. That's why I chose this course. I chose this college over DU because I wanted proper accommodation facilities on a residential campus so that my education loan could cover that. Banasthali, indeed, has good accommodation for girls and due to this, most of the parents of the girls allow them to study outside their hometown. Banasthali is best for B.Tech and BCA courses. And, after that, they are famous for my course. But they need to give us more exposure and facilities and make our learning more practically approachable, as our course is very practical and real-world. There are many festivals throughout the year. Each department has its own festival, and there is one major fest called Apaji Mela, which is basically like a fair for college students inside the campus. Campus life in Banasthali is very happening, with a lot of opportunities and resources to learn and excel. There are scholarships available in a certain amount for needy and merited students.

Honesty and simplicity at its peak .
Placements: Our college has a good placement cell that is improving day by day. They look for the best opportunities available for the students as per their performance and grades throughout the course, and the package is approximately 20–22 LPA, which can be attained through college placements.
Infrastructure: If we talk about the facilities and infrastructure for our course, they are not that good; in fact, we don't have a separate department for journalism and mass communication. We have been given a particular area in the Science department, and as for hostel facilities, they are good, as is the food, which is like home-made food.
Faculty: Our teachers are very helpful and supportive; they themselves are very knowledgeable and have good experience in teaching and education. The course curriculum is very satisfactory; you will gain knowledge in every aspect of journalism, be it radio, communication, PR, photo journalism, reporting, or writing. The exams are not that difficult; in fact, we have periodicals every month that occur twice in a semester, covering most of the syllabus.

Review of Banasthali Vidyapith.
Placements: Only 2 students got placed in Dainik Bhaskar with a salary package of 5 LPA. The top role offered is a reporter. Only 1 company visit our college for recruitment.
Infrastructure: Our college is Wi-Fi enabled. The lab and classrooms are very small. Students have to share computers. Many computers do not work. Our canteen is neither hygienic nor good.
Faculty: We have better teachers. They are not concerned about the course. Some teachers are good. Semester exams are difficult. The course curriculum is relevant.
Other: Our college should improve its infrastructure. Our department requires renovation and more exposure. I would not recommend opting for the mass communication course.

Banasthali is not everyone's cup of tea.
Placements: I passed out of Banasthali Vidyapeeth in 2016, with a degree in B.A. journalism and mass communication. My experience at Banasthali was splendid; every student from my batch got placed, and most of the placements happened at media houses in Jaipur like Dainik Jagran Jaipur. My other colleagues got jobs at media houses in Bangalore and Mumbai. Many of my colleagues got jobs in major media houses all across India.
Infrastructure: The department has a radio lab, which is Banasthali own radio station (Aapno Radio), which is fully equipped. The department has two computer labs for journalism students. There is a broadcasting studio for the students as well. The hostels are adequate and have a nice roof.
Faculty: The faculty members are very knowledgeable; they are very helpful and have great knowledge of their field. They are very helpful in guiding budding journalists. Some faculty members are a bit old and have old-school ways of teaching, but they fail to connect with the young students sometimes.

It is an excellent college.
Placements: In our batch, there are 104 students in our course, B.A. journalism and mass communication. There are no internships provided by the college and no job offers. There are no placements, and no companies are required to come for placements. All of this must be done by the students themselves, who have found jobs in the companies.
Infrastructure: The hostel facilities are good in the new hostel. The food is not so good, but it is edible. All facilities are available. Classrooms, labs, and the library are common for all the courses. Sports, a canteen, a gym, and games are available to students.
Faculty: Our college faculty members are well-educated. Their teaching quality is good. There are new activities performed for teaching and practicing. The course curriculum is relevant. It makes students industry-ready. The semester exams are not difficult. They are based only on the syllabus.
Other: I chose this course because I like to speak loudly and prove my point of view. I like debates. Events and festivals are excellent. All festivals are celebrated at our college.

Our college provides many opportunities.
Placements: Our department was new we are from the covid batch, so there were no job opportunities. Companies have not visited our campus to recruit students. Our faculty members always share if they come across any openings or vacancies in any organization. Our batch couldn't get placed through campus, but our university name was useful in getting work on our own. After our batch, many students got better opportunities at our college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure, resources, and facilities provided to us by our college are good. Our college provides us with apple computers, DSLRs, a community radio, a lab, a broadcasting studio, and various other facilities in the department. Our college has one of the biggest and oldest libraries and it contains a vast collection of books. The food served in the mess and canteen is good and affordable. Our college provides us with sports facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and cooperative. Students have to show their interest in studies or else they won't teach much. Semester exams are not much difficult. Semester exams have a combination of practical and theoretical. The course curriculum was well-designed but not properly executed because of covid but still, it could have been better when we were on campus.
Other: Our college conducts many events. Our campus organizes orientation sessions for students, but it is not enough to tell us about all the things. Our college should improve its placements. Our department might not be the best, but our university is great.

The campus life is to die for, however BANASTHALI isn't much relatable for this course.
Placements: There is no placement yet offered in this course. The students were supposed to get internship on their own. However it is mandatory to do internship every year in the summer break. The teachers sometimes share several openings but most of them are unpaid. But there is no proper placement offered yet.
Infrastructure: The equipment needed in this course are almost available. All the necessary software like FCP, Adobe Premier, Photoshop are available. Labs are well-equipped. Guest lectures are also conducted time to time. The hostel is quite good (the new ones) however can't say the same about mess food. The extra curricular activities are in ample amount. All the sports are available.
Faculty: The course part is okay. The theory and practical is good. But we ain't given exposure much which is required in this field. The teachers are average. Few of the teachers are self centered and doesn't care about your concerns. I don't know about current situation but earlier the teachers used to focus only on few students.
Other: The events are amazing. The campus life is great if you find great friends if you know what I mean. I believe if they could offer placement or exposure to students it would enhance the quality of this course.
