Better the branch, better are the chances for you to get placed.

Placements: Generally, IT companies visit the campus, so most of the computer science and information technology students get placed. If the students of other branches prepare for IT sector, they also get chances to sit for those companies, but they have to compete with computer science students. Core companies are very few, so most of the students from core branches choose to prepare for GATE or higher studies. For internships, core companies rarely visit the campus, but IT companies do. Lovely Professional University is one of the best universities in the country and will definitely a good choice for B.J. M. C. They way they offer exposure for this practical course is worth mentioning. They have their own in campus media channel- Y TV, where the students work and have hands on experience of the real life media channel scenario. Apart from this there are many other events like Coke Studio, YouthVibe, etc. Taking place where the students are made part of it to give them the filed experience. Most of these things are part of their curriculum. Regular educational trips to various newspapers, channels, etc. Are arranged for students. The students dealing with electronic media are given platform to make and showcase their documentaries on relevant topics. The faculty members here in B.J. M. C. C. is a very good programme for career prospects. Coming to the college, being alumni of LPU, I would be sharing the details of B.J. M. CAT LPU only as I have no idea about Vidyapith. LPU is best for pursuing a B.A. (Journalism and Mass Communication) and M.A. As my cousin completed his degree last year. The programme is designed to expose students to all dimensions of Print, Electronic, and New Age Media. As we all know, Mass Communication is a medium of dispersing information to many people. The term is not limited to only journalism but spreads its branches to various other media fields including newsgathering and reporting, film direction and production, event management, public relations, advertising, corporate communication, and the list continues. So, pursuing the degree from such an institute of repute is the need of an hour. Addressing your query, LPU offers more than 250 programmes out of which mass communication is high in demand. One of my nieces took admission to LPU and told me that the course is designed to expose students to all dimensions of Print, Electronic, and New Age Media. The focus is on enhancing technical skills of reporting, news design software, video editing, photography, etc. The focus is on
1. Better student-teacher interaction through mentoring sessions
2. Orientation of curricular content for enhancing employability
3. Opportunities to participate in extracurricular activities for achieving all-around development. 4. Moocs
5. Curriculum benchmarked against renowned global institutions
Career prospects are Journalists/Correspondents: Reporters, Editors/ Sub- Editors/ Assistant Editors Public, Relations Executives, Event Managers, Photojournalists, NewsMakers, Academicians and FilmMakers
Companies which have visited as of now are: Hindustan Times, Indian Express, The Hindu, Dainik Jagran, Dainik Bhaskar, The Tribune, Times Now, CNN IBN, ABP News, India TV, NDTV India, Zee News, India Today and Outlook
Hope this helps. Thanks!
