Best college of Bangalore for sure.
Placements: We have a placement cell in our college that provides us with varied opportunities. Though from our department, students generally don't sit for placements, as most of us go for further studies and pursue civil services. The placement percentage is around 70%. Top recruiting companies like Goldman Sachs, DeShaw, Deloitte, and many more come for the placement.
Infrastructure: We do have a great campus and spacious classrooms. These classrooms are equipped with the best technology, which makes it easier for us to study. We do have a college Wi-Fi as well. Our library is very well-equipped with various kinds of books and even journals. As I have not opted for the hostel, I won't be able to give any details regarding that. But I do know that the security and food facilities are good in the hostel.
Faculty: I genuinely like my professors as they are quite frank and approachable. They encourage us to not just be academic but also explore other aspects of life. It feels comfortable to ask for their help and they don't make you feel ignored. The course curriculum is very much relevant with every day life one gets aware of their culture, rights and even their finance and not just that it makes us more communicate as well. The semester exams are not difficult its that level pf difficult which prepares us for further projects. The pass percentage is 40% in all subjects.
Other: I chose this course as I thought this would give me very good future opportunities. This particular course is the best for people who have not clearly decided as to what they wanna do in their future as in this course of 3 years you will know what you are good at. I do wish though that the dress cord would have been a little more flexible. I would suggest every one to take part in events and clubs as those are the best memories one can make.

Worth every single penny.
Placements: Only high-performance students are guaranteed to gain placements and have minimal opportunities, as there are only a handful of companies that offer internships. The college must focus on aiming for more companies to bring in internships, as it will lead to a good reputation.
Infrastructure: Great facilities overall, but in a few instances, it is noticed that there are quite a few instances of negligence of provisions of the opportunities. It can be due to a high student count or management, but here is the thing: I would not complain, as the fee structure is not so high.
Faculty: Teachers are great overall, with great coverage to help build up future skills. The semester exams are not so competitive, but they need to be given thorough hard work. Especially, the teaching staff is very interactive and very friendly. They are great at their career.
Other: Overall, the college is above average but not the best around North Bengaluru.

Apart from admin, everything is good.
Placements: As far as I know for placements, our batch as one from the humanities school did not receive many opportunities from the college while we did receive premium LinkedIn accounts. Most of my batchmates went for higher studies in other institutions while the rest found work back home or in the city through their own efforts or connections via their internships. About 40% of our batch had an internship of some kind or the other for newspapers, content writing, marketing or institutions like NIAS (for IR or public policy focus).
Infrastructure: For our course, we were placed in classrooms and media labs for newsroom simulation. These spaces were aptly equipped though at times, our own classrooms were crowded considering we had about 75-80 students for a subject. Food was available in two canteens, one right outside the humanities building (which also had a sick room) and one was the magis canteen which had a whole lot of other options in an affordable range. Magis canteen was right next to the sports field, in the same building with an indoor basketball court and shower rooms for athletes.
Faculty: Professors were really helpful and insightful. The course was also very enjoyable. Though foreign languages were seen as a challenge it was a welcome change for me as it helped me improve my proficiency in a new language (they offer German and French). The course did loads to help us make industry-ready with newsroom simulations, policy labs, and research training + fact-finding for international relations and conflict studies. Semester exams were of an appropriate level for our course and could be passed via expressing enough understanding of the subject matter.
Other: I chose this course because it was the only college that offered this combination that year and I wished to study journalism alongside IR and conflict studies. I wish however that the management could have handled things better. Because of attendance shortage, they held back half of the student population and then they introduced them to a lot of fees to get their degree from then onwards. My advice was to not miss a single class, medical reasons did not qualify as reasons enough to be absent. Only by showing a hospital admittance record, you could be excused.

The college has good faculty and, a peaceful environment with growing career support.
Placements: In my batch, around 45-50% of students got placed, especially from commerce, management, and IT courses. The highest package offered is 5 LPA, while the average is 8 LPA. Some regional firms and a few national companies visit our college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of St. Joseph University is decent. We have Wi-Fi-enabled classrooms, projectors, a well-equipped library, and basic computer labs. The campus is decently clean, and has a calm and green atmosphere. Hostels are available for both boys and girls.
Faculty: Teachers are generally supportive and approachable. Most teachers are qualified and try to help their students. The curriculum is aligned with current trends, especially in journalism and mass communication, where they even include short-term projects.
Other: I chose journalism and mass communication because I wanted to pursue a career in media and content creation. The best part of this course is the balance between theory and practical learning especially photography, video editing, and reporting sessions.

Come for the degree, stay for the pedagogy.
Placements: You could not expect conventional placement in this program, given the fact that it was at first an arts degree. However I am certain that if you find yourself studying here especially in a degree like B.A. JIP, you will find stocked in you the urge to think critically and engage with academia, your surroundings, and life in general. Many students went on to pursue masters degrees and specialize in their fields of choice while others found employment in journalism, Think Tanks, and public policy adjacent fields.
Infrastructure: We had free Wi-Fi across the campus. Classrooms were beautiful, spacious, and very well-ventilated. The library was wonderful too with an easily accessible digital database of all works currently available. College provided a midday meal scheme for students who may be facing economic hardship. Sports culture was heavy here with one intracollege and one intercollege sports day. All sorts of team and solo sports were encouraged here. The canteens served a massive variety of food as well.
Faculty: Faculty members were incrediblely knowledgeable and approachable as well. Jesuit pedagogy aims towards holistic and academic development, going side by side. Students were encouraged to critically engage with their reading and syllabus while also being given the capacity and skills required to look beyond what was on the reading list. Semester exams were not difficult if you attended classes regularly.

Great college for psychology students.
Placements: Placement is good. Teachers help us find contacts and referrals, and we get enough exposure through weekly enrichment programs. The college provides great opportunities to interact and explore career options. Internship opportunities are offered from the 1st year itself.
Infrastructure: Almost every amenity is provided and well-maintained. Each floor has clean sanitary washrooms, drinking water facilities, a lift, and stairs. There is a library and a canteen with quality meals and snacks. The classrooms are well-ventilated and equipped with projectors, smartboards, and blackboards.
Faculty: Teachers are fairly guiding and helpful. The curriculum is well-planned and holistic. Exams are not difficult and cover the syllabus well. Teachers and professors go beyond the syllabus. To make concepts clearer. Classes are highly interactive and take a practical approach. The assignments and projects allow students to develop multiple skills beyond the subject.
