Candidates have to meet a minimum academic requirement to apply for BMAT 2027:

Eligibility Criteria for BMAT 2027

  • Graduation with a minimum 50% aggregate in any subject from a recognized university (minimum 45% aggregate for SC/ST students).
  • Candidates who are in final year or awaiting result, are also eligible to apply, provided they can submit their graduation certificate by August 2027.
  • Those whose medium of education in Graduation was not English will have to complete an orientation course in English provided by institute.

BMAT 2027 Admit Card

The BMAT 2027 admit card will be released 2-3 days prior to the exam. Candidates will have to visit the university website to download it. Given below is the process download it:

  1. Open the university website on a new browser

  2. Click on the tab indicating 'BMAT 2027 admit card'

  3. Enter your credentials and login

  4. The hall ticket will be displayed

  5. Click on download and save it

  6. Thereafter, take a printout of the BMAT admit card 2027 

BMAT admit card is a mandatory document to be carried to the test centre on the exam day. Every candidate will be required to carry a print out of the BMAT 2027 admit card, a valid photo ID card and a recent passport size photo for identification process.

No, BMAT exam does not have negative markings. Each question in BMAT exam carries one mark and if the answer is incorrect students will not be penalised for that question.

Q:   What is the reporting time for the BMAT exam at the BMAT exam centre?
A: 

Candidates must report to BMAT exam centre at least an hour before commencement of exam. BMAT exam will take place in morning shift at different test centres. Candidates will not be allowed to leave exam centre before exam ends. Also, they can not re-enter exam centre once they have submitted the exam.

Q:   What is the BMAT exam pattern?

Q:   What items can I carry to the BMAT exam centre?
A: 

Every candidate must carry a blue/black ball point pen and a two copies of their passport size photo to the exam centre. They must not carry any stationary item other than the pen. Candidates have to carry drinking water in a transparent bottle. No other item will be allowed inside the exam venue. Candidates must not carry bags or valuables as there will be no arrangement for depositing while candidates appear for the exam. Candidates must also not carry notebooks or rough paper to the BMAT exam centre. Any candidate found with an unauthorised item will be disqualified. Candidates must also carry the BMAT admit card along with a government-issued ID proof. 

Q:   Is the BMAT admit card valid without a photograph?
A: 

No, the BMAT admit card will not be considered valid without a photograph affixed to it. Candidates must paste a recent passport size photograph on the BMAT admit card to make it valid. The candidate's photograph affixed to the BMAT hall ticket must match the photograph uploaded in the BMAT application form. Candidates must paste a coloured photograph on the BMAT admit card.

 
Q:   What is the mode of BMAT exam?
A: 

BMAT is a university level exam, conducted for admission to MBA programmes in colleges of Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University. BMAT exam is conducted in CBT test mode for 3 hours. 

Q:   How should I proceed after getting a seat through BVP B-MAT counseling?
A: 

Candidates should confirm acceptance of seats after securing one through BMAT counselling.  Submit all necessary documents for verification, including mark sheets and BMAT scorecard. 

Q:   Can I pay the application fee on another after filing the BMAT application form?
A: 

Yes, you can fill the BMAT application form 2026 on one day and pay the fee on another day as it is not mandatory to register for BMAT exam and fill the application form or pay the fee in one go. The registration and application window will remain open for the candidate who has registered for the exam and created a user ID, until the last date of form submission. The applicant can login in and check/fill/edit the BMAT application form anytime during the form filling period. However, candidates need to submit the BMAT form and application fee before the deadline to be eligible to appear for the exam. The BMAT application form will not be submitted until the fee payment is done. The fee can be paid via debit card, credit card, net banking and UPI wallet.

Q:   What is the structure of the BMAT question paper?
A: 

BMAT question paper is divided into 4 sections. There are 50 MCQs in each section. Total number of questions are 200. BVP BMAT exam is conducted online in a CBT test mode. There is no negative markings. 

Q:   What is BVP BMAT exam all about?
A: 

The BVP BMAT (Bharati Vidyapeeth Management Aptitude Test) is an entrance exam conducted by Bharati Vidyapeeth University for admission to the MBA programme offered by its affiliated institutes. The BMAT entrance exam is conducted in the computer-based test mode across various test cities in the country. The BMAT 2026 exam will likely be connducted in the first week of April 2026. 

Q:   Can the eligibility criteria change for BMAT?
A: 

No, the eligibility criteria for BMAT cannot change. Student must be graduates with a minimum 50% aggregate in any subject from a recognised university and they should have completed 15 years of education. 

Q:   Is BMAT difficult to crack?
A: 

The difficulty level of the BVP BMAT is different for each candidate appearing for the exam. The difficulty of the exam depends on the candidate's preparation level, understanding of the exam pattern, and aptitude required for the field of management.

BVP BMAT tests the Quantitative Aptitude, Current Affairs, Logical and Abstract Reasoning and management skills of the aspirants. Candidates who can prepare themselves to tackle these areas and score well will be able to crack the BMAT exam. 

Q:   What is the sectional time limit of BMAT?
A: 

BMAT exam does not have section time limit. Total duration is 3 hours and number of questions is 200. So, students should not give over 2 or 3 mins per question.

Q:   Is there an age limit or domicile criteria to apply for BMAT exam?
A: 

No, there is age limit to appear for the BMAT exam. The applicant must have however, completed 15 years of formal education (10+2+3 or 10+2+4 basis). Student must also be an Indian citizen to be eligible for the BMAT exam. 

There is no other domicile criteria. But the students applying for the BMAT exam must fulfil the rest of the BMAT eligibility criteria including the academic qualifications, language requirements, etc.

Q:   Are there any subjective questions in the BMAT exam?
A: 

No, there are no subjective questions in BVP BMAT exam. BMAT question paper only has 200 MCQs. The total duration of the exam is 180 minutes. 

Q:   Do I need to study advanced topics beyond graduation and Class 12 for BMAT exam?
A: 

No, for the BMAT exam, candidates are not expected to study advanced topics beyond the Class 12 or graduation level for the BMAT exam preparation. The BMAT syllabus is designed to assess their knowledge and skills at the graduation level, and it covers topics within the standard MBA curriculum. The BMAT syllabus is easy. Although the BMAT exam syllabus is not advanced, regular practice, solving sample papers, and taking mock tests are necessary to ace the BMAT exam. 

Q:   Who prescribes the BMAT syllabus?
A: 

The BMAT syllabus is prescribed by the exam conducting authority, Bharatiya Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be) University. The BMAT syllabus is spread across four sections, i.e. English Language and Comprehension, Numerical Ability, Logical Reasoning and Management Skills. The BMAT syllabus tests the candidate’s aptitude, mathematical ability and hold over the English language.
