What is KLMAT?

K L Management Admission Test or KLMAT is a common entrance test conducted by KL University, Guntur for Admissions to its MBA courses. The entrance exam is conducted for 90 minutes in a computer-based test mode. The questions are asked from Reading Comprehension, General Knowledge, Quantitative Aptitude, Logical and Critical Reasoning. Candidates can clear the examination by preparing for 2-3 months. Q:   How many times is KLMAT conducted?
A: 

KLMAT is conducted in 3-4 phases. Candidates can choose the exam phase and apply accordingly. The KLMAT application process for every phase has different deadline. Applicants have to make sure they submit the form before the deadline to appear in the given exam session. Otherwise, will have to wait for the next session. The KLMAT sessions are conducted from December to May.

KLMAT exam is a speed based test of 90 minutes. Candidates have to solve about 75 questions from English, GK, Quantitative Aptitude and Logical Reasoning sections. Every questions carries one mark. There is no negative marking. The difficulty level of KLMAT is easy and one can crack it within the given time limit.

Q:   I am preparing for CAT. Is it necessary to prepare for KLMAT Management separately?
A: 

Candidates preparing for CAT may not need to prepare for KLMAT Management separately, as the syllabus is the same and the test structure is also similar. However, one should make sure they practice KLMAT sample papers from a month before the exam as the question type and difficulty level will be different from CAT.

  • A candidate who has secured a rank in the KL Business School Aptitude Test(KLUBSAT)/ ICET/MAT /CAT /XAT, & Personal Interview.

The eligibility criteria for BBA at KL University is given below.

  • Candidate should have 10+2 or equivalent with 60% in aggregate and 60% in PCM / PCB and should have been qualified in KLEEE.
  • Candidate should have passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination with 55% and above.
  • And must qualify in a written test and an interview conducted by the University.

After the announcement of KLMAT result, the examination will prepare a shortlist of candidates for MBA admission and organize the second round of selection process. The KL University MBA admission process will include Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). For this, candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their KLMAT score and academic record. There will be a minimum cut off for selection. Those who shall have score as much or more than the KLMAT cut off, will be selected for GD/PI. Final admission offer will be based on candidate’s performance in GD/PI.
