One of the best colleges to opt for is Journalism and Mass communication.

Placements: Our college has helped our seniors to land their dream job in companies like Zee Entertainment, ETV Bharat, Pahara, AdFactors PR, Inshorts, Genesis BCW, PR Hub, Ketchum Sampark PR, and more. As of now, placement is only provided to a Master's degree in Journalism and Mass Communication.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is beautiful with a touch of greenery. It has top-notch classrooms, library, canteen, hostel and for mass communication students studio and radio labs are provided. The mess provides a variety of menus. Even though we had online classes, I have visited the campus and it has traditional and modern Odisha architecture.

Faculty: The faculty members of the school of communication are the most amazing, friendly, and knowledgeable professors. Even with online classes, we bonded quickly. They are highly qualified and will provide you with extensive knowledge and support and guide you throughout the semesters. The course curriculum is very much relevant and will help you in your future endeavors.

It is a peaceful campus with great faculty members' guidance and great accommodation.

Placements: Although the placement drives are available only for M.A students, B.A students have the benefit of getting internships to be ready for further job experience. Students get exposure to public relations, editing, production, content writing, etc. Companies like Inshorts, Genesis, ETV, etc., visit the campus for recruitment drives. Almost 90% of the students got placed from here.

Infrastructure: There are good hostel rooms with attached washrooms, and they are cleaned and sanitised every day. There is a good Wi-Fi facility and above-average food or probably best in the Odisha state. There are well-equipped classrooms, TV and radio studio. Moreover, our college has a huge library with various book categories, in-campus medical facilities and accessibility to outdoor sports and indoor games.

Faculty: Our department faculty members are the biggest strengths. Even they are a bit less in number, they help us very well, even in any crisis situation. They solve our problems even when in the late night and help us with studio work whenever needed. They teach us the industrial aspects. With very relevant theory and practical assessments, semester exams become quite easy to write.

Other: Inside the campus, the environment is great, and the students around you are really friendly. I never faced any sort of ragging or bullying in all 3 years of my bachelor course. I chose this course as I had a huge interest in mass communication as a subject. We get the best practical knowledge possible. The thing which we could have now is the on-campus experience, but we have no such access to studios due to the pandemic. The campus is in a deserted place, so there is very little life around it. Events and fests are conducted every year. Overall, it is a peaceful and great place to live if you are a hosteller. For day scholars, it may be difficult to travel, but the campus has transport facilities for the same. The campus is also a photogenic place with beautiful sunsets to witness some times.
