Students have to register themselves on the portal of CUK Samarth. At the time of registration, students are required to pay a registeration fee to successfully submit the form. Apart from the registration fee, candidates are not required to pay any further application fee while filling out the form on university's official website. Admissions at Central University of Karnataka (CUK) are mostly entrance-based, except for some courses. For most of the UG and PG programs, you need to appear for the Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUET), which is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to 12 central universities.

For B.Tech and M.Tech programs, you need to have valid JEE Main and GATE scores, respectively. For PhD programs, you need to qualify for a written entrance test and a personal interview conducted by CUK. You also need to meet the eligibility criteria of the course, such as having a minimum percentage of marks in the qualifying exam. Central University of Karnataka admissions are currently ongoing. The university accepts students on the basis of entrance exams. Interested students can visit the official website of the university and apply through the CUK Samarth portal for the desired programme. Candidates should not that beyond the last date, no registrations or applications will be accepted. 

The Central University of Karnataka counselling process begin after the releasing of CUET UG results on the official website of CUET. After the result declaration, the counselling is solely conducted by the university itself. To proceed for counselling process, candidates are required to fill an online application form on the online admission protal of CUK. For CUK counselling process, candidates can follow the step mentioned below:

1. Visit the official online admission portal of CUK (culcuet.samarth.edu.in/). 
2. Use CUET application number, and other details along with email ID and a password to open the application form. 
3. Fill the form with all the relevant information and complete the application form after uploading the necessary documents along with the CUET UG result in the prescribed format.

Admission to UG courses is based on CUET scores. Only the students with a valid scores can register on the CUK-Samarth UG admission portal. After the CUET result declaration, students need to register on the university admission portal. Then a list of eligible students is released following which grievances are accepted. Then a provisional selection list is released with the names of all the students that can take admission. If seats are left vacant, then a second list will be released. Further, students can confirm their seats by paying the first-semester fee.
