To get admission to NDA Pune, students must pass Class 12 as per the required eligibility. Yes, NDA has similar eligibility and selection criteria for every course. As per the NDA's eligibility criteria, every aspiring student must pass Class 12 for selection. For admission to Army, students need to pass Class 12 by State Education Board or a University and for Force & Navy Class 12 is required with PCM as the main subject. 

To join NDA, candidates must give the entrance test of the NDA which is held twice in a year (NDA-I and NDA-II). The first notification for the entrance exam is usually issued in the month of January and the second notification comes in around June. The first entrance examination is conducted around April month and the second examination is conducted around September month. The examination is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and the candidates willing to get admission can apply online at the official website of the college.

NDA is the joint training institute for all three services-Army, Navy and Air Force. After joining the NDA cadet undergo training for three years. After graduating from NDA candidates are sent to their respective training academies for one year of training before commissioning. Army cadets are sent to the Indian Military Academy (Dehradun), naval cadets to the Indian Naval Academy (Ezhimala), and Air Force cadets to the Air Force Academy (Dundigal, Hyderabad).

NDA offers BA and BSc programme for a three-year duration and BTech programme for four-year duration. However, there is one-year compulsory training programme in respective academies of the Armed Forces after the course duration.

The college offers AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) and Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi-approved courses to students. Since the courses are approved by NDA Pune, the degree is valid all over India. Hence, the candidates willing to gain Military education can apply for the BTech and various other undergraduate courses offered by the college.
