Absolutely satisfied with the good placements and training.

Placements: I am from the 2025-2029 batch in the Industrial Engineering Department, College of Engineering, Guindy, Anna University. 99% of students are placed. The highest package is 22 LPA. The lowest package is 5 LPA. The average package is 10 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Siemens, Caterpillar, Ashok Leyland, Sandhanta (an international company), and Japanese and German companies. 100% of students got internships. TCS, manufacturing industries, Ashok Leyland, etc are the recruiting companies. Logistics and supply chain management, process optimization, & quality control are top roles.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is only for laptops. Labs and classrooms are clean. They are structured and well-maintained. Classrooms are also maintained at an average level. There is easy access to the library. This is more useful for studying and is a productive workplace. The quality of facilities at the hostel and food in the mess and canteen are just average. There is easy access to medical facilities in case of emergencies. There are many sports and clubs for the students.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful in guidance and academics. They are well qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good. This course is relevant to the curriculum. It makes students industry-ready. The semester exams in this college are average and can be passed easily. The pass percentage is 69 percent.

Other: I chose this course because it has 99% placements. I wish that the course would improve by updating the syllabus according to the new trends in industries.

CEG College review: EEE department.

Placements: Around 80 percent of students got placed from my course. The highest package is 14 LPA, the lowest package is 6 LPA, and the average is 9 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Caterpillar and Hyundai. 40 percent of students got internships in MuSigma and Caterpillar.

Infrastructure: Labs and classrooms are top-class, with modern projectors, advanced systems, etc. The hostel is also well-situated along with a lot of trees that calm your mind. Food provided would be value for money. You would have a campus hospital where you would be treated.

Faculty: Teachers are very encouraging and knowledgeable. For EEE, Mr Udayakumar imparts a great amount of knowledge on the subjects that he is teaching. Curriculum is relevant. You need to upskill yourself with new technologies. 100 percent is the pass percentage and the semester exams are quite easy, you would be required to know what they have taught. That would be enough.

Other: College provides you with enormous events and fests where you could test your managerial and people relation skills. Kurukshetra, Techofes, and your department-related events are all available and a lot of clubs for your interests are available in CEG. I chose the course because EEE is one of the evergreen branches of engineering and CEG is a top-class institute.

Good placements in 2025 and satisfied with infrastructure management.

Placements: This year, around 90 percent of students got placed at the campus interview. The placement opportunities are good in this college. The college doesn't provide internships, but students attend okay internships on their own. My department is civil, but some students from my department even get placed in IT companies. Top recruiters for the civil department are Larsen & Toubro, ONGC, Reliance, and many other companies. The highest package is around 12 LPA-18 LPA and the lowest package is around 3 LPA-5 LPA.

Infrastructure: College hostel is decent. We have smart boards in our classrooms, but some classrooms do not get Wi-Fi signal. The food quality of the mess and canteen is said to be average it is okay. We do have medical facilities at our college, we have a clinic with doctors. We can consult with them whenever needed. Our college has a big playground, and it also supports many sports activities like football, cricket, kho-kho, tennis, badminton, etc.

Faculty: Teachers are well educated, experienced, and knowledgeable. The curriculum is relevant and it makes the students ready for the industry. Semester exams are a bit difficult, but still the pass percentage is around 75 percent. Teachers help when we ask, and they do not keep pushing or guiding us all the time, but when we ask, they are ready to help.

Other: I chose civil because it was my ambition. The best things about my course are the crowd and student connectivity. They still have to improve the college infrastructure. We have many events and fests happening. The campus is filled with nature. We have a lot of trees.

Review of the College of Engineering, Anna University for B.E. in Industrial Engineering course.

Placements: Placements in our college are above average. From the 2026 pass-out batch, 35 students out of 40 got placed. The highest package offered is 14.5 LPA by Caterpillar. The lowest package offered is 5 LPA. Internships and placements are very good for us.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure-wise, it is a 236-year-old college. It is very good. The hostel is also nice. The food here is awesome. Overall, it has a good and clean campus. The weak points are hostels, and maintenance is average. Labs are not as modern as IITs.

Faculty: Faculty members are very nice and kind. Staff members are supportive. If we study well, we can be placed. The exam pattern is good. It is essential for us to study so that we can succeed in this world. Overall, it is a good college. Our HOD has a very nice personality. Teaching depends on the faculty members.

Placements: Mostly, 80 percent of the students in Anna University Chennai got placements in good companies. The highest package is around 30 LPA to 40 LPA, and the lowest package is around 3 LPA to 5 LPA. The top recruiting companies for my course are TCS, Wipro, Accenture, etc.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of Anna University Chennai is good, and laboratories and libraries are available. They provide separate hostels for both boys and girls with free Wi-Fi. Hostel food is not bad. Average in taste. They give importance to sports as well as studies.

Faculty: The teachers at Anna University Chennai are well-experienced and qualified. They are always being friendly with students. They teach us lessons crystal clear and always clear the student's doubt regarding lessons without any concern. They conduct an examination every month.

CEG has good infrastructure, labs, and library. Teaching and management need improvement.

Placements: I belong to the Mechanical Engineering course, passing out batch of 2028. Approximately 45 to 55 percent of the students from the mechanical engineering course are placed through campus placements. The highest package is 13 LPA. The lowest package depends on the company.

Infrastructure: Mechanical engineering department has well equipped laboratories for subjects such as thermal engineering, manufacturing processes and CAD/CAM labs. The central library is well maintained with a good collection of textbooks, reference books and is easy to access.

Faculty: The curriculum followed at CEG is strong in fundamentals and core engineering concepts. It provides a solid theoretical base, especially in mechanical engineering subjects such as thermodynamics, manufacturing, design and materials. Semester examinations are moderate to slightly challenging, focusing mainly on conceptual understanding and problem solving. Students who attend classes regularly and prepare consistently can clear exams without much difficulty. The pass percentage is generally high, especially for students who are regular and disciplined, though it varies slightly from subject to subject and batch to batch.

Other: Things to improve are more industry-oriented and hands-on learning integrated into the curriculum. It increased practical exposure and live projects from the industry. It provides better coordination in internships and placements support for core students.

Yes, it is absolutely possible. In India, there is no upper age limit for pursuing an M.E./M.Tech. Your experience is actually a major advantage for specialized research and leadership roles.

What you can do:

Entrance Exams: Appear for GATE (No age limit) to get into IITs/NITs, or state exams like TAN
