Candidates will be required to take a skill assessment test and personal interview and clear these selection process to get shortlisted. For all BSc programmes, students are required to go through a micro presentation and personal interview. However, for the Economics, Mathematics and Statistics subject combination, students are required to appear for CUET conducted by Christ. In both cases, the academic performance in Class 12 is considered for final selection.

Christ University offers seats to candidates based on entrance exam score of the candidates. The university conducts Christ University Entrance Test for admission to courses such as BSc, BTech, BBA, BCom, etc. Besides, the university also considers scores in national-level entrance exams such as XAT, CAT, NATA, etc. for admission to specific courses. Selected candidates have to report at the campus for document verification and fee payment. 

The Christ University Department of Media Studies has not released the official placement report for the year 2023. However, Around 60 to 80 percent of the candidates got placed in mass media courses. As per the latest placement report in 2022, the highest package offered was INR 13 Lacs Per Annum for Mass Communication students, the average salary package offered was 6 Lacs Per Annum and the lowest package offered to mass communication candidates was INR 3 Lacs Per Annum during the placement. Axxela, Aspire Systems, KPMG, ICICI Bank, Ernst & Young, Accenture, and Brain Capability Network are the companies in which candidates got jobs and internships. A total of 1,698 and 1,304 Undergraduate and Postgraduate candidates were placed and 79 percent of candidates were placed during the Christ University Department of Media Studies placement drive 2022.

Christ University Law Admission. Students willing to apply for the law admission should meet the criteria of the courses they are applying for. The admission procedure compromises of Eligibility criteria meet, CHRIST (Deemed to be University) Entrance Test, Skill Assessment, Micro Presentation and Personal Interview.
