Average placements for the EEE branch, but the college life is decent, and faculty is helpful.
Placements: The placements are average for the EEE department. Around 40–50% of students get placed every year. Mostly, mass recruiters like TCS, Cognizant, and Infosys visit the campus and offer packages of around 3.5–4.5 LPA. The highest package is around 9 LPA from the EEE branch in a core company. Some students also get internships in the electricity board and local power plants, but most students have to apply on their own. The top roles offered are Systems Engineer and Graduate Engineer Trainee.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is decent, but it needs some improvement. EEE labs have most of the required working machines and equipment, although some components are old. Classrooms are big, but there is no air conditioning. Wi-Fi is available across the campus, but the speed is sometimes slow. The hostel rooms are clean and spacious enough. The mess food is average. Sometimes it tastes good, while at other times it is quite boring. Medical facilities are basic. There is a playground where students play cricket and volleyball.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified. They have good knowledge of their subjects. They are helpful if students approach them with doubts after class hours. The course curriculum is relevant according to university guidelines, but it does not make students 100% industry-ready, so they need to learn additional skills on their own. The semester examinations are quite tough. Students cannot pass by studying only one day before the exam. The pass percentage in our branch is around 75–80 percent.
Other: I chose EEE because I like electrical circuits. It gives chances in both core and IT sectors. The best part is definitely our labs, where we get practical knowledge about big machines. But I wish they would improve placement packages for core branches because IT companies get more priority here. Talking about campus life, we have some small events and a yearly fest, which is very fun. The campus crowd is decent, mostly from Chhattisgarh state. Connectivity is also fine since the college is in the city.

B.Tech. in Civil Engineering - Batch of 2021

Be the hardcore civil engineer.
Placements: I was there in the COVID batch, therefore, there were no placements. It was the second wave of COVID. Even though when we passed out, only CS and IT students got placed. There were no placements for civil. In recent years, we have heard some improvement in placements for the civil department.
Infrastructure: The civil department is very old; therefore, it is not very aesthetic, but the classroom sizes are big, and overall, it is okay. Girls' hostel rules are too frustrating, and the old hostel had so many issues. The food was not good, and after 6 PM, they don't allow going out or coming to the hostel.
Faculty: Teachers are really good. They are very well qualified, and the quality of teaching is top-notch. They are a bit strict on checking, and it's not very easy to get marks. We had various training during our curriculum, like Python, AutoCAD, Revit, and SAP. We spent 15 days in IIT Kanpur for such training and also went to NIT Rourkela. These experiences were also very good. The course is very relevant, and you will build a good foundation for the industry.
Other: I chose civil engineering as I was always very enthusiastic about the construction, layouts, and how drawings come to life. GEC Bilaspur was one of the best colleges for civil engineering in Chhattisgarh. It would be better if they had more experiments and training on programming integrated with civil software like STAAD and SAP. We had 2 years with COVID, therefore, it was a bit less.

Good placements, supportive faculty and decent campus life.
Placements: Around 60 to 70% were placed in my course in the recent drive. The highest package offered till now is 22 to 33 LPA, and the lowest is around 2 to 3.5 LPA, with the average around 5.7 to 5.75 LPA. Tata Consultancy Services, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, Capgemini, Cognizant, HCL Technologies, Amazon, and Tech Mahindra are the top recruiting companies. 40 to 50% got internships in Tata Consultancy Services, Capgemini, Infosys, and NinjaCart.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure available is good for the courses. Wi-Fi and labs are available, and projectors are in most of the classrooms. There is a central library for all, but the hostel facilities are not so good and can be improved. Food is the main problem in the mess, but the canteen is okay, and there are also some shops beside the hostel to get food, snacks, and stationery. Overall, the remaining facilities are good.
Faculty: The maximum number of teachers are helpful and available in the college to assist students. They are well qualified and knowledgeable, and the teaching is also good. However, some faculty members, like the assistant faculty, are not that experienced in teaching, but they are well qualified. The course curriculum is relevant and makes the students industry-ready. The semester exams are moderate, and the pass percentage is around 70 to 80%, which can go higher in some departments.
Other: I have taken this course because I was interested in it since my childhood. Once a year, fests and events happen in the time gaps. Connectivity is strong through the community, the campus surrounding is good, but it can be improved. In extracurricular activities, there are some groups based on interests that students can join.

It is a good college, with excellent faculty and placements, and great campus life.
Placements: Placements are designed for all branches. Around 70 to 80% of students got placed. The highest salary package offered is 10 to 12 LPA, while the average is about 3.5 to 4.5 LPA. Companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Jindal Steel, Shanti Group, JK Lakshmi, UltraTech, etc., visit regularly. Many students also get internships.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is recent, with proper classrooms, labs, and a good library for all domains. High-speed Wi-Fi is also available. Hostel facilities are good, rooms are decent, and security is good. The mess food is best for students with a good menu. Sports and medical facilities are available. Overall, campus life is comfortable.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified, supportive, and deliver excellent teaching with practical insights. All teachers are really good at explaining concepts and are approachable for doubts. The curriculum is relevant and gives a basic idea of industry requirements, but students need to work on skills themselves. Exams are not very tough. If you study regularly, the pass percentage is quite high.
Other: Campus life is good if you have a good friend circle. The crowd is friendly and supportive. There are festivals, technical events, and sports activities happening throughout the year. I chose this course because of its scope for the future. The best part is the balance between studies and activities. I feel that more industry exposure and practical learning can be improved.

Once you take admission in the college, you will forget your hometown.
Placements: As I heard, the highest package offered is 15 LPA. At least more than 1000 companies visit the campus every year for recruitment. The package offered is about 4 LPA-5 LPA. They guarantee 100 percent placement.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the hostel is very nice as they provide one room to every single person and an almirah. There is also an attached washroom. The mess facility is also very nice. The quantity of food and water is good. RO is installed everywhere in the hostel, as well as in the mess. Classrooms are quite good too equipped with ACs and coolers.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified with 10-15 years of experience. Also, they are very helpful towards students and provide the necessities to the students. The academic calendar is provided at the start of the session so that the students can plan their schedule accordingly. Also, there will always be 10-15 toppers from the college. The college has very good faculty members, and they help students at every level.
Other: Events are always conducted so that every student can participate and improve their skills. Once a year, there is also a college fest and each year 2 singers come. Every year there is a scholarship program for students.

The college is perfect for skill development, to get placed, or to start your startup.
Placements: I found that in the placement criteria, the college is very nice. They provide many companies, approximately two hundred companies are on campus, especially in the ETC Branch, which is increasing day by day. In my branch, a 4th-year senior is placed in a foreign country, California.
Infrastructure: I think the boys' hostel is very good, it has 2 buildings and has up to 4 floors. The girls' hostel is up to 3 floors, college infrastructure is also good. But I think it is small compared to other colleges. But okay, labs are just okay type.
Faculty: Actually, faculty members are very nice in my branch, all the faculty members are very nice. Literally, I loved them. The curriculum is also up to date. Semester exams are on time, and they are difficult. I think it is very hard to pass the exam in 1st year, like Physics and BEE subjects.
