It depends on the college as it is a college specific rule so basically in DU you have to pass atleast 50% total credits in previous year to get promoted in to next year but if failed to do so then you have to repeat the year without promoting

It depends on the college as it is a college specific rule so basically in DU you have to pass atleast 50% total credits in previous year to get promoted in to next year but if failed to do so then you have to repeat the year without promoting to next year. However if you failed due to short attendance, try to apply attendance waiver due to medical reasons or emergency reasons if you have any.
