NEET PG 2026 exam is scheduled to be held on August 30, 2026. NBE, exam conducting body will release other dates along with official brochure. NEET PG 2026 exam will be held in computerbased mode. NBE has announced cutoff date for NEET PG 2026, i.e September 30, 2026. Registration is mandatory to submit NEET PG application form. NBE will begin NEET PG 2026 registration most likley in last week of April 2026 at nbe.edu.in. Students must note only online application form will be accepted for NEET PG exam. Students are advised to read application brochure carefuly to understand elligibility criteria before applying online for exam.

Q:   Has NEET PG 2026 pattern released by NBE?

Not yet. NEET PG 2026 pattern will be released by NBE. Pattern and other crucial details related to NEET PG 2026 exam is released along with official information brochure. NEET PG 2026 is expected to be held in August. Exam pattern carries crucial details such as mode and medium, total of questions, allotted time, and marking scheme. 

Q:   What is the pattern of NEET PG exam?
A: 

NEET PG pattern comprises details about exam mode, medium, total number of questions, allotted time, and marking scheme. NBE conducts NEET PG exam in computer-based mode. The medium of the exam is English only. Candidates don't have option to select any other language in NEET PG exam.

A total of 200 multiple choice questions are asked and candidates get 3.5 hours to answer them. According to the marking scheme, for every right answer, 4 marks are awarded while for wrong response -1 mark is deducted. No mark will be awarded/deduced for unanswered question.

Q:   Will there be negative marking in the NEET PG exam?
A: 

Yes. Mark is deducted for each wrong answer in NEET PG. For each right answer, candidates get 4 marks and for each wrong answer, 1 mark is deducted. As there is provision of the negative marking in exam, students are advised to answer only those questions where they feel confidence of right answer.

NEET PG 2026 Registration/ Application form

NEET PG 2026 application form will be released online. The application process will begin most likely in April 2026. Students do have to register first to access and complete NEET PG application form online. Application dates and other details for NEET PG 2026 will be released with brochure. To complete registration, candidates must have valid email Id and mobile number. Login credentials will be generated after successful NEET PG 2026 registration. Candidates will have to pay online application fee of INR 3,500 for general category and INR 2500 for reserved category for NEET PG 2026.

Q:   How many questions will be there in NEET PG 2025 exam?
A: 

NEET PG 2025 question paper will comprise 200 questions. Total marks will be 800 marks. Students will be provided three and half hours to answer question paper. There will be a provision of negative marking. 

Q:   What is time bound sections in NEET PG exam?
A: 

NBE introduced time bound sections in NEET PG in 2024. It refers to fix time to attempt a particular section. Candidates have to exahusts allotted time of previous section before moving to next section. They can't choose to answer questions of any section as per their wish. In addition, one exahusted time of particular section, he/she can't go back and change answer in the section after time exahusts. As per time bound section, next section will start automatically once the allotted time exahusts. Whole NEET PG question paper is divided into 5 sections (A to E) with 40 questions each. The allotted time of particular section is 42 minutes. 

Q:   Does NBE release analysis for NEET PG exam?
A: 

No. NBE doesn't release analysis for NEET PG. Several coaching institutes and other experts release NEET PG analysis based on memory-based questions asked from exam-taking candidates. The exam analysis helps candidates to know the tentative score in the exam. Aspirants look for exam analysis to get an idea about weightage from each subjects.

NEET PG 2026 Syllabus

NBE doesn’t release word by word NEET PG syllabus. Candidates can refer the syllabus referred by Medical Council of India. NEET PG syllabus 2026 mainly comprises subjects covered in MBBS course, I.e pre clinical, para clinical and clinical subjects. The syllabus comprise around 15 subjects mainly anatomy, physiology, biochemistry etc

Yes. You can crack NEET PG through proper planning and strategies. First try to complete whole NEET PG syllabus 2 months before exam. Class notes, refrence books plays a key role in NEET PG prepration. At least two revision is must in order to get good score in NEET PG exam.
