NMEMS will conduct the NEET PG 2026 on August 30. The Board released the NEET PG 2026 information bulletin on nbems.ac.in. NEET PG registration 2026 started on July 1, 2026. Candidates can apply by July 21, 2026. The authority will issue the NEET PG admit card on July 27, 2026.

The National Board of Examination for Medical Science released the NEET PG 2026 information bulletin on its official website - natboard.edu.in. The Board has announced important dates and information in the bulletin. The candidates should note that the internship completion cutoff date for NEET PG 2026 is September 30, 2026`. NEET PG 2026: NBEMS released the NEET PG 2026 notification online. Candidates can check the information bulletin to know the eligibility criteria, form-filling process, admit card, certificate details, and much more.

  • NEET PG 2026 registration commenced on July 1, 2026. Candidates must fill and submit the application form by July 21, 2026.

Q:   How many attempts are allowed in NEET PG?

NBE conducting body has not specified any limit regarding number of attempts in NEET PG exam. At same time, there is no age limit for exam. Candidates can appear as many times as they want in their prusuit of postgraduate medical courses. Candidates are advised to check official information brochure, comprising eligibility criteria and other crucial details related to exam.

A: 

Yes. MCC has reduced NEET PG 2025 cutoff percentile as well as score for each category. NEET PG 2025 percentile has bene reduced by 7th percentile for general category and 0th percentile for SC/ST category. For general category revised cutoff score is 103.

Q:   How many candidates appear for NEET PG?
A: 

Around 2 Lakh candidates appear for NEET PG every year. The number varies every year. Around 2.40 lakh candidates had appeared in NEET PG 2025 exam. A total of 2,28,540 candidates appeared for the NEET PG 2024 exam. In NEET PG 2023, around 2,06,541 candidates appeared for the exam. NEET PG 2025 exam was held on August 3 and result was announced on August 19, 2025.

Q:   I got 535 marks in NEET PG. Will I get government college?
A: 

500 plus marks is considered a decent score in NEET PG  exam. If a candidate score 535 marks that means his/her rank will be somewhere around 1000-2000. With that score, there is a chance to get admission in government college. Good score also depends on difficulty level of the question paper. If the question paper is difficult then cut off will be low. In 2023-24 session, general category cut off was 291 while the cut off for SC/ST was 257. Overall 500 plus marks will enable you to get admission in good college for PG course.

Candidates can appear for as many times as they want. There is no cap on the number of attempts in NEET PG exam. NEET PG 2026 Eligibility

The Board notify some eligibility conditions for the candidates who want to apply for the NEET PG 2026. The candidates should read all the eligibility criteria notified for the exam to avoid application rejection at any point in time. The NEET PG eligibility conditions are given below:

Education Qualification

The candidates must have passed the MBBS from a recognised institute in India.

The candidates must have the Permanent or provisional registration Certificate of MBBS qualification issued by NMC/the erstwhile Medical Council of India or State Medical Council. 

MBBS Internship Cutoff Date for NEET PG 2026

The candidates must have completed the one year of Internship or will be completing it by September 30, 2026.

Age Limit for NEET PG 2026

The Board does not mention any age limit requirement for the NEET PG exam. Candidates of any age can apply for the exam.

It is worth noting that the candidate found to be ineligible at any stage of NEET PG 2026 will not be permitted to appear in the exam or Counselling. The Board can even cancel the results of such candidates in case they qualify in the exam. 

NEET PG 2026 City Intimation Slip

The Board will release the NEET PG 2026 City Intimation Slip on August 11, 2026, to inform the candidates about their City of Examination. The city intimation will inform the candidates about their allotted examination city.

The choice of city also depends on availability of the test centres in a particular city. It must be noted once allotted the test city can't be changed in any circumastances.

The qualifying NEET PG cutoff percentile for the general category is 50. Candidates whose percentile score is above the cutoff percentile will be considered for the admission process. NEET PG cutoff percentile score varies for each category.

A: 

The National Board of Examinations (NBE) releases the list of centres for NEET PG. Candidates have to choose a preference of the exam centre while applying online for the exam. NEET PG 2026 Admit Card

NBEMS will issue the NEET PG admit card 2026 online. The link to download the admit card will be updated on the website, natboard.edu.in. Candidates can check the admit card to know the exam centre, shift details and reporting time. The candidates will be required to download their NEET PG admit card after logging in.

How to download NEET PG 2026 Admit Card?

  • Go to NBEMS website, natboard.edu.in.

  • Select "NEET PG 2026".

  • Login using Application Number and password.

  • Click on "Download admit card" link.

  • Check the admit card for errors/ spelling mistake.

  • Download and save the admit card of NEET PG.

The candidates will be required to carry one photo identity card with admit card.

NEET PG 2026 Syllabus

NBE doesn’t release word by word NEET PG syllabus. Candidates can refer the syllabus referred by Medical Council of India. NEET PG syllabus 2026 mainly comprises subjects covered in MBBS course, I.e pre clinical, para clinical and clinical subjects. The syllabus comprises around 15 subjects, mainly anatomy, physiology, biochemistry etc.

No. There is no option of any other language other than English. According to the existing NEET PG pattern, the exam is conducted in English language only. While NEET exam is conducted in 13 languages, NEET PG is conducted in only one language. NBE releases exam pattern along with the official information brochure. According to existing exam pattern, the exam is conducted in computer-based mode. Total 200 multiple choice questions are asked of 800 marks. Total allotted time for the question paper is 3.5 hours.

Yes. NBE reduces NEET PG cut off in case seats remain vacant after counseling rounds. NEET PG 2026 Pattern

NEET PG 2026 pattern is released along with the official information brochure. The exam pattern of NEET PG 2026 comprises details including mode, medium of exam, total number of question and their type, marking scheme etc. As per the existing pattern of NEET PG, the exam will be held in computer-based mode. A total of 200 multiple choice questions will be asked, and candidates will get 3.5 hours to answer them. There is a provision of negative marking in NEET PG exam. NBE might release NEET PG question paper and answer key.

No. NEET-PG is mandatory for all MD admissions in India across all colleges, government, private, deemed, and central institutions. There is no alternative entrance exam or direct admission route for MD. Even foreign nationals of Indian origin need to qualify in the relevant entrance process.
