B.Tech. in Mathematics and Computing - Batch of 2023
4.2
Strong academics and placements with a rigorous curriculum and good campus facilities.
Placements: High placement percentage, often above 90 percent. The highest package is 50–60 LPA for top performers. The median package is 10 LPA across all offers, indicating a broad range of salaries. Top recruiting companies are Amazon, Google, Apple, Goldman Sachs, Oracle, and LinkedIn. Many students indicate that around 15–20 percent of students secured internships at major companies like Microsoft, Amazon, and Google. Top job roles are software engineer/software developer, data scientist/data analyst, business analyst, technical analyst, and development engineer.
Infrastructure: Campus overview includes classrooms and lecture spaces, library/resource centre, and laboratories. Facilities provide high-speed Wi-Fi/LAN in rooms. Hot water, laundry services, TV rooms, and basic utilities are available. Common washrooms are provided and are not usually attached. Security and maintenance services are available on campus. Sports facilities include cricket ground, volleyball, football, basketball, and badminton courts. A gym for fitness, yoga space, and music rooms are available. The campus has modern classrooms, seminar halls, a resource-rich library, a large Wi-Fi-enabled, eco-friendly campus, advanced labs, and hostels separate for boys and girls.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, approachable, and supportive. Most teachers are helpful and qualified. The curriculum covers modern tech areas like cybersecurity, cloud computing, AI/ML, and elective choices that align with industry trends. The curriculum is updated and includes technologically relevant subjects, but readiness for real-world jobs often depends on how much effort students put in. Scoring high, like 8+ CGPA is difficult and challenging and requires strong preparation. The 3rd semester is specifically seen as among the toughest in the academic progression.

College tour of DAIICT by a first semester guy.
Placements: The college placement seems to be going down with time, similar to the placement of CS engineering students as the college has almost all branches related to computer Science and programming. The companies visiting for internships are better than the ones visiting for actual placement. 35 percent of the batch is placed, top recruiting company is Unified Apps, and the top roles for MNC are Software Development Engineer.
Infrastructure: The mess is just compulsory for the first year as of now. The food at the mess is not that great, sports are good, though you have to bring your own equipment, and there are medical facilities available throughout the year. There is Wi-Fi for all students with a limit of 20 GB a day.
Faculty: The faculty is very good, especially for the first sem. There is a special course offered by this college in the Mathematics and Computing programme, in which you get experience with algorithms and mathematics. Teachers are mostly qualified, educated from top institutes like IIT.

It is a great place for good exposure. I have a great college experience.
Placements: Around 75% of students got placed this term. The highest package is around 1 crore per annum. The average package is 17 LPA and the lowest package is 8 LPA. Companies like Apple, Google, and Goldman Sachs visit the college for placements. Around 80% of students got internships. SDE and other tech-related roles are offered. Placements are good here. Apple is the new company to come to campus to hire students.
Infrastructure: It has good hostels. Labs and classrooms are well-equipped. The lecture theatre is good. A mess facility is available and mandatory for freshers. The canteen service is good. The annual sports fest is awesome.
Faculty: Faculty members are easy to communicate with, and they are available on campus, so it is easy to approach them. The course curriculum is relevant. The current demand for MNC graduates is high in the industry as they are well-trained in mathematics and problem-solving. Each semester has 3 exams, 2 in the semester and 1 at the end of the semester. Each exam has its own weightage and the curriculum is divided in that manner.
Other: Lots of events and activities are going on.

Engineering heaven of Gujarat.
Placements: Here, placements at DAIICT are very awesome. Although there is a lack of tech jobs. There are also 90% of placements. Companies are JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, TCS, Reliance, and so on. If we want to go into such huge MNCs then of course take admission in DAIICT.
Faculty: Faculty members at DAIICT have played a pivotal role in shaping my academic and personal growth. Their dedication to teaching, passion for their subjects, and willingness to support and guide students are truly commendable. The learning environment they foster encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and a deeper understanding of complex concepts. Beyond just imparting knowledge, they inspire us to challenge ourselves, think innovative, and stay committed to excellence. Their mentorship extends far beyond the classroom, making a lasting impact on our future. I am truly grateful for the continuous encouragement and invaluable guidance provided by the faculty members at DAIICT.
Other: Currently, I am pursuing B.Tech in Mathematics and Computing at this college. There are many degrees in B.Tech as well as in M.Tech and Ph.Ds like information and communication technology and minor in computational science also courses for electronics and very large scale integrated courses. No more advice, just join and feel.

Our campus is not so good.
Placements: Maximum number of students get placed in our branch because our course structure is good.
Infrastructure: Hostel facility is good but there are many mosquitoes and insects during monsoon. Infrastructure of our course is very good. Hostels have common washrooms.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are good but few are not good. There are 3-semester exams, 2-semester exams, and one end-semester exam. Some professors are very helpful with studies and extracurricular activities. The course curriculum is good.
