Ambedkar Open University Certificate Courses & Fees

The open university offers a six-month-long certificate course in Childcare and Development (CCCD). Candidates who passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination and a two-year recognised ITI course after Class 10 and cleared NCVT or GCVT can apply. In order to get a pass certificate in CCCD, a student must secure at least 36% aggregate in each subject.

BAOU offers Certificate courses across 27 specialisations. These courses are taught through two departments, i.e., the School of Humanities and Social Sciences and the School of Computer Science at the university. Some of the certificate courses offered are in Naturopathy, Indian Poetics, Theatre Arts, Food and Nutrition, Anganwadi Karyakrta, Childcare and Development, etc.

The placement cell of the University establishes contact with industrial houses to arrange training and placement opportunities for the students. The BAOU placement cell also organises campus interviews and has signed MoUs with various business organisations and placement agencies. As per the student reviews available on Shikhsa, the BA students bagged the highest package of INR 12 LPA in recent years of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University placements. However, according to the BAOU student reviews available on Shiksha, the highest package offered to BA students in the recent Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University placements was INR 12 LPA. The admission cycle at BAOU for the July and January sessions starts in June and December, respectively. Candidates need to apply online at the official website of BAOU. BAOU admissions are merit-based. Candidates can apply by visiting the official website. Further, the seat allotment is done based on the selection criteria, seat intake, and verification.

Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University also offers online courses through its Centre for Online Education (COE). BAOU course admissions are merit-based for most of the courses offered at the university. The university has a student network of 3 Lakh students.

BAOU provides more than 80 undergraduate, postgraduate, UG diploma, PG diploma, certificates, and doctoral programmes. BAOU offers seats to candidates based on their merit. The university does not accept CUET scores and aspirants can get admission based on their score in the qualifying exam. Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria can apply for the preferred course and pay the programme fee to confirm their seat in the university.

BAOU provides multiple courses in Open & Distance Learning Mode. These courses allows people to access education widely and remotely. ODL courses can be pursued in either online or offline mode. No. There is no age restriction at BAOU for admission provided the minimum qualification required for admission is fulfilled. Besides, candidates have to complete a minimum of Class 12 for UG and graduation for PG programmes.

BAOU MSW fee is INR 30,000. This amount is taken from official sources and can change. Students have to pay course fee at the time of admission to confirm seat in the university.

BAOU applications are currently open for July session. Candidates can apply online for the preferred course. Aspirants have to fill out the application form and pay a fee for admission. Applications for July session are usually closed in November. Once the application process is, candidates are considered for admission.
