Yes, Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University offers the facility of regional and study centres, which provide students with access to study materials, counselling, and other academic support. BAOU has established 7 regional centres and more than 270 study centres across the state of Gujarat. The university has jurisdiction over the whole state of Gujarat. BAOU was established in 1994 by the Government of Gujarat. It is a UGC-recognised university, and has also been accredited by the NAAC with Grade 'A+'.
As per the BAOU MSW the course is offered in Gujarati-medium only. Hence, the students seeking admission shall be well-versed in the language. All the subjects taught during the course, including MSW programme is conducted in Gujarati. The two-year course shall be completed in a maximum of six years. Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University provides modern amenities with state-of-the-art infrastructure to its students. The facilities provided by the institute include well-ventilated classrooms, e-classrooms, faculty rooms, labs, a library, a seminar hall, and sports facilities, among others. The central library of the university has a collection of more than 73,000 books on history, linguistics, sociology, political science, public administration, computer science, and other streams. Over 161 study centres also have their own departmental libraries.
