B.Tech. in Petrochemical Engineering - Batch of 2021
3.4
A good place for students who want to pursue post-graduation courses.
Placements: Placements in college are average. It is a government college, but the placements are not as much as in other government colleges. Only a few of the students get placed every year. The remaining will either go for GATE or off-campus placements.
Infrastructure: When it comes to infrastructure, the college is good. Classrooms, canteen, and a huge library are available here. As BATU became a state university in 2017, they are developing the college infrastructure fast, and it's great now. The campus is fully Wi-Fi enabled, and you can easily access it.
Faculty: It is quite hard to say this, but faculty members are not as much educated as any government college would require. They have just passed out from the same college and got placed here. PhD staff members are limited to each branch, likely 1-2 faculty members for each branch. They are friendly with the students, but not all.
Other: The college conducts events like Shivjayanti (19th Feb) and Art and Craft event for the creative minds. The fest is one of the biggest events of college. Scholarships are provided by the government, so you don't have to worry about it.

Totally dissatisfied because of poor place.
Placements: Very poor placement cell. The tnpc officer is too lazy. Only 4-5 companies visit every year. Out of these companies only berger paints offer the highest package of 5.5. Other companies like sudarshan, laxmi, supreme offer average of 3.5. Very few students gets placement every year.
Infrastructure: These university is state university having 60 affiliated colleges still average infrastructure located nearby village area having very poor facilities as compared to metro cities engineering colleges. The hostels are too in bad condition. College canteen is really good. Sports ground is hypothetical. It is not available when we want to practice.
Faculty: The university does not find any excellence in faculty and course curriculum. The current students of 1st and 2nd year have good course. The teachers are knowledgeable and are good in core subjects. University is having 40 permanent staff. These permanent faculty members help the students to get industrial exposure every year.

Environment is not good for engineering.
Placements: The placements are not good in this university. For this batch only 10 students got placement. The companies like berger paints, laxmi, sudarshan chemicals visits every year. Rajasthan transfromers, torent power for electrical are most visited companies. Tge the highest package offered is 5.5 and average of 2.5. The placement officer is not so active and cell is not too. The internship is not available to students from college side.
Infrastructure: The campus is nearby village area. The area is not properly developed. The campus having Wi-Fi, labs and classrooms are good. The sports ground is far away from college and it is unavailable in rainy season. Hostel and college canteen is average. Hostel rectors are too careless and irresponsible.
Faculty: The good thing about this state university is its faculty. Still the adhoc staff is not so good. The permanent staff having Ph.D. is really knowledgeable and skilled in core subjects. The industrial visits are there for all students in industries. The course is based on GATE studies. So it is helpful.

My experience in Dr. BATU, Lonere.
Placements: The placement is good enough compared to other private institutes. It is always good for branches like computer and IT. At least 20 to 30% of the students always get placed in reputed companies. Some go for higher education or internship from industry.
Infrastructure: The university has a large ground and hostels. Separate Wi-Fi facility is provided for each department. There are well-equipped laboratories, huge library with all kinds of standard books, and daily newspapers in various languages. All departments have separate zones, good ventilation, and natural beauty is the advantage of this college.
Faculty: All staff members are highly qualified and experienced. They are recommended based on their knowledge and experience only. They teach us in their way, most effectively in both ways, i.e., theoretically as well as practically.
Other: The college is a government autonomous university which organises various events, festivals, grading, cultural activities, sports, NCC and NSS camps and many others.

I am not satisfied with the college, because of the bad placements in the college.
Placements: The placement in the college is very good. Only some software and electronic companies visit the college for recruitment. Most of our seniors don't get placed in the college. But last year, some core company of the mechanical department visited the college and recruited some of the students. The average salary offered is about Rs. 2.5 lakhs. The students have to do an internship on their own.
Infrastructure: In the college, there is a Wi-Fi facility, labs, library, medical facilities and also sports and games facilities. The classrooms are also good as they have projectors including the smart screen. The lab facilities are not good, but everything can be done there. The food quality in the canteen is not always good, and sometimes it is very bad. The hostel rooms are bad, and the hostel itself is old, as it is not maintained properly. Also, the washrooms and the canteen of the hostel is not good.
Faculty: The faculty members are very good as they are very helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. The teachers teach in their own style. And the student to the teacher ratio is about 30:1. Once in a year, students are taken to the industrial visit in the industry which may be private or government. The course curriculum is also very useful. Overall, the faculty members and the course curriculum is satisfactory.

If you want to know yourself, join this college.
Placements: The placement scenario is worst for the last few years. The Training & Placement Cell must initiate for it. The highest salary package offered for my batch was of Rs. 5 lacs per annum, by Berger paints India limited. The average package was around Rs. 3.4 lacs per annum.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good. This place has a nice environment to study and roam around. Classrooms are turning digital these days. Labs are more convenient to work within. The whole campus is provided with Wi-Fi facility. The quality of food in the canteen has to be maintained properly.
Faculty: The teaching faculty is good for every department. They are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The faculty upgrade themselves with the changing time. Industry exposure is provided as a part of a curriculum. The curriculum here is matching the industry standards and boosts the confidence of the students.

The college area is worst for the sports and you cannot gain personality development in the college.
Placements: The placements are quite good. Out of 70 students, in all the departments, only 5-7 students get placed every year. The placement scenario was really good before 2015. The statistics got down after that year. The companies like Accenture, Cognizant, Supreme, Mids came every year for the placements. The training is compulsory for the students so that they will get industrial exposure. The highest package offered was 6.5 lakhs per annum.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is excellent. The college got an award for the best infrastructure. The Wi-Fi availability and sports facilities are fine. The labs and classrooms are digital and well organised. The hostel mess is really poor. There are 7 hostels in total. The campus has the total of 500 acres of area, but construction is in 100 acres only. The sports ground is not near the college. We cannot play sports in rainy season.
Faculty: The faculty is very good. The college is famous for its faculty. The presentations are arranged for the students once in each semester. The industrial visits are arranged for the students every year. Each department has 8 permanent faculty teams. The course curriculum is very useful as per the GATE syllabus.

Worth the money as it is a state technical university in Maharashtra
Placements: The placements are really poor. Very few companies came here for placements and hardly 4-5 people from 2-3 branches got placed. The placement ratio I can say is at 5% only. Internships are not available from the college. Some of the placed students have posts like associate engineer and web developer. A few companies like JSW, Accenture, Persistent, Infosys, Sudarshan Chemicals and Supreme Chemicals came every year. The highest package offered was 6.5 LPA till now but mostly, students try for off-campus drives.
Infrastructure: The facilities are very poor. The college is not having a Wi-Fi with a good speed. A computer section is available for all students where you can handle PCs personally. A sports ground is available with conditions. It is too far from the college area and not properly maintained. The hostel is quite good but the mess is really bad. Labs and classrooms are average if compared to other colleges.
Faculty: The college is reputed for its highly qualified faculty members. The 4 departments in the college are having doctorate degree holders who are well-known in the research area. They are very helpful to students in course studies. The course is on the basis of the GATE syllabus. There are many books also available on that course for every subject. Industrial visits are arranged every year for all departments, which is the best thing that happened just because of these qualified faculty members.
