If you want a good environment with a good city and knowledge, then you should come here.
Placements: In B.Sc. Geology there is 0%placement. You should prepare for the competition examination in the B.Tech department. There is also a low percentage of placement because it is new, but in M.Tech Geology, there is good placement in the PSU sector, and M.Tech Geology is famous in the geology community.
Infrastructure: In the case of infrastructure, it is well developed, and Wi-Fi is available on the campus. Labs are good, and the library is famous in India. It is one of the biggest libraries in India. There is a hospital for students for minor health problems, which is also near the sports area. There is a whole stadium for students, and different sports are available.
Faculty: Teachers are very qualified and knowledgeable, and they teach very well, but the curriculum is not helpful in the industry. Semester exams are below difficult. You need 40 marks out of 100 to pass the exam. It is much easier than B.Tech, but if you attend classes regularly, then it is no problem passing the exam.
Other: A new thing added this year is that the duration of the B.Sc. degree is 4 years. I chose this course because geology is a rare subject, and at university, they should conduct counseling online so that distance students can also come to the university.

A good college in your budget.
Placements: All the seats were full in my course due to its vast opportunities and importance in the field. There is no package offering right now in my course. After a few years, there will be professors here, ready to give you a competitive exam related to this field. There are no recruiting companies right now in my course. There are very few who got internships in my course.
Infrastructure: In my course, there is a very good faculty and a personal library situated in my department. Also, labs and big classrooms with projectors are very helpful for studying. There is no mess facility in the hostel; you can pursue lunch service in the hostel. There is a medical hospital of the college, which is for only college students. There are sports games organized in which, if you are selected, you can go from the regional to the national level of the game.
Faculty: Teachers in my course are very qualified and knowledgeable, and the faculty have very deep knowledge of their respective subjects. Yes, the course curriculum is good; it gives you basic to advanced knowledge, which is good for further competitive exams. The semester exam in my course is a moderate-to-difficult-level exam.
Other: This course has very vast opportunities if you study well because the geology subject is in high demand in the government services and the private sector also. There are some cultural events, and also youth fests organized in past years, which are good for students' enjoyment and also helpful for personality development, and different types of co-curricular activities are organized.

Review of Dr. Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya.
Placements: Dr. Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya (DHSGSU) in Sagar offers decent placement opportunities for its B.Sc. students in the geology department, with a placement cell actively supporting students. While the highest salary package for B.Sc. students also has GAT.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available are very poor for students in the geology department, which is a very old building, but it's the best department in the university. That's why the maximum number of students take geology. The hostel is good but not the best in food and security.
Faculty: A good college offers excellent academics, supportive faculty, strong placements, a vibrant campus life, and fosters holistic student growth. The exams are scheduled by semester, and geology is the best department in our university and in Madhya Pradesh state with the best curriculum.

The university is a Central University has average placements with a good environment and nature.
Placements: 45% of students got placed. The highest package is 12 lakh, and the lowest package is 2 lakh. Top recruiters include ONGC, Reliance, and other mining, oil, and natural gas companies. 4.85% of students got internships from coal mining companies and other mining companies. Top roles offered are geologist, petrologist, IAS officer, and mining inspector.
Infrastructure: The campus is fully covered with Wi-Fi facilities, and every department has purifiers with neat and clean washrooms. The library is digital, with computer systems and offline books available for all the different streams. The hostel is neat and clean, and has a mess facility too.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and have completed their Ph.D. from well-known institutes and have a significant amount of experience in their respective courses and streams. The quality of teaching is also very high. The curriculum is relevant because it prepares students for facing the realities of different industries. In the early phases, semester exams are easy, but in the senior level (5th and 6th semester), exams are much harder in comparison to the previous ones, and the passing percentage is 39% in each subject.
Other: I chose this course because of its success ratio and the percentage of students who have secured good jobs from this institute. The best thing about my course is the discipline of the students and the teachers. The seating arrangements should be much better. The campus organizes some fests every year around November.

Amazing university as well as faculty, not good placements.
Placements: After completing B.Sc., not more students are placed, but approximately 15 percent of the students get recruitment after having work experience under the professors. There's no such highest or lowest package, but the top recruiting company is WIPRO. 30 percent of the students get internships, and most of the students work on the professors' projects under their supervision.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure for my course is amazing. The facilities available for the course are very good. The whole department has network connectivity as well as Wi-Fi. Smart classrooms are provided by the university with installed projectors and well-furnished classrooms. Labs are also a part of this course, adding another star to this university. The library has a vast collection of books and is one of the largest libraries in India. The quality of the facilities in the hostel is pretty good and acceptable. The quality of food is good. All the facilities in the hostel are at very low prices. Medical facilities are not that developed, but sports facilities are pretty good. Every year, many athletes play national-level competitions.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and highly qualified. Some of them are graduates from IITs, so they are highly knowledgeable. The teaching quality is very good. They provide us with practical and application-based knowledge. The course curriculum is very relevant, but it does not make the students industry-ready. The semester exams are quite tough. One has to study regularly and throughout the year to achieve good marks. More than 80 percent is the pass percentage of the course.
Other: I've chosen this course because my aim is to appear for the UPSC exam for geology. The best thing about the course is I can pursue higher studies as well as a good career option after completing the course.
