A very high percentile in the JEE Mains is required to get admission in a CSE branch of Delhi technological University (DTU) in the OBC or SEBC category. In the case of Delhi Region OBC the required percentile to appear is usually 94-96 or above or an OBC category All India Rank of their general numbers being below 60,000-70,000. The competition to the Outside Delhi Region OBC candidate is again even higher in comparing them to Outside Delhi Region OBC need a percentile of more than 98-99, which is most often equaling an OBC-All India Rank of less than 10,000-15,000. Such cut-offs are not very exact and they change every year; round-wise cut-offs can be obtained by clicking the official Joint Admission Counselling (JAC) Delhi website to get the most accurate and current cut-offs.

B.Tech CSE at DTU is very competitive, with General category receiving the most competition. In this case, General Category - Outside Delhi candidates can hardly afford to rejoice at a rank below 70000 within CSE 2017 as closing ranks do not even go beyond 10000 (and in most cases much below). But, in case you are under the Delhi Region ( Home State Quota ) and fell under a reserved category ( OBC-NCL, SC, ST, EWS ), ranks below 70,000 could provide an opportunity to CSE or similar stream such as IT, Software Engineering, or Mathematics and Computing as cutoffs of these three categories can go even much higher. It is important to match the individual category and cutoff percentages of quota 2025 through official JAC Delhi site.
