Review of Gautam Buddha University - GBU.
Placements: There are placements, but students with masters degree require some decent salary and a good company to start with. However, the companies that visited here offer very less vacancies with low salaries. As it's a new university, things take time to improve and get settle.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is world-class. There are too good libraries, stadiums, and classrooms. Even national games or sports league like Pro Kabbadi is held there. But there are some management issues. But other than that, the infrastructure is world-class.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are not that good. There is no lack of resources like laboratories, but faculty members are not interested in their works. Rather than few, respectable faculty members, there is nothing like who can provide you knowledge. Faculty members are like guardians to students, but in GBU, faculty members just wanted an excuse to give you less attendance, marks or internal assessments.

I would like to give 4 out of 5 stars for this university.
Placements: Placements of this college are good. In my batch, 40 out of 60 students got placed in top companies like Infosys, Wipro, Asteria, Cars24 and many more. Placements in other branches were above average. One of my friends got the highest salary package of 13 lacs per annum from Honda Motors.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of GBU is world class. I spent 5 years at this university. The campus is on 511 acres with greenery and the biggest on-campus library. Indoor stadium, playground, swimming pool and meditation centre are available, and there is an auditorium that has a capacity of 3000 seats. There is a modern shopping complex. You would like to be a part of this university once you visit it.
Faculty: All the faculty members of this university are graduated from top colleges like IITs, Punjab University and NITs. Teaching quality was great. Teachers teach the concepts in understandable and easy methods. If you really want to be a good engineer, then you should join this university.

I would rate the infrastructure 10 out of 10, and the college 4 out of 10.
Placements: Placements were kind of slow for the senior batch. It took a pace in our time, but the average salary offered was Rs. 15,000- 20,000 per month. All types of job profiles were offered. Companies visited the campus, and now junior batch students are having more options than us. As I said earlier, it is moving with its own pace but growing.
Infrastructure: The college provides single rooms hostel facility with LAN network. There are technically equipped classrooms. There is a nice library. There is a playground for indoor and outdoor games. Labs and classrooms are in good state with the best facilities. Food served in the canteen is not that great, but the shopping complex provides an alternative to that.
Faculty: To know more about courses, visit the university website. New courses are added here. Teachers are not good, except a few. There is a lack of teacher-student interaction which fails to create the environment. There is not that good industry exposure as it's still growing. Some courses are good depending on what you are seeking.

Infrastructure and hostel life is great, and the study is average.
Placements: Any reputed companies do not visit our college for the placements. Only some small companies visit our college and offered placements to many students which is a good thing rather than considering the top companies and huge salary package.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. You might fall in like the college with the first view. Grounds are provided. The library is well built. There is a beautiful pond called Shanti and shopping complex named Sarovar. The structure of the education department was very beautiful.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are not good. In M.Tech branch, guest faculty members teach students. Teachers have egos I don't know why.

A sinking ship of Education.
Placements: The placements in GBU are really poor. The CRC of GBU is filled with worthless people. In my batch out of 60 30-35 children were placed for 9-14 thousands per month only out of which half of them left within a month. 2 were placed for 30000+ but they had to work for 7 days and atleast 10 hours a day. These poor placements make the college the worst. Even the brightest star of the batch was placed for 8000 a month in an startup. The senior batch hardly had any placements. No big companies visit the campus instead GBU sends it's children to startups. 0% internship assistance from the college in past and I guess in present too. The college prospectus says about few students who were well placed but those students were placed off campus by their own talent and links.
Infrastructure: The only thing GBU is having is its infrastructure. The best in India. I have been to many colleges and universities in India but I have never seen such a campus in my life. The hostels, classrooms, stadiums are all at par. No other college can match GBU in that.
Faculty: This is a very important topic. When the university was started it was initially run by IITians, NITians and faculty members from other top colleges. They had set a good curriculum. But as the years passed the college deteriorated exponentially. Now college is mainly dependent upon guest faculty members. The permanent teachers are unqualified. Most of them have studied from gbu only and are doing Ph.D. at the end of 2017 None of the IITians were left. Even few faculty members were teaching M.Tech students with they themselves have 0 experience and were Ph.D. students. Classes usually didn't happen. Exam papers use to repeat every year. Dissertation was like laughing upon ourselves as no guidance was provided. Only the faculty members of school of vocational studies and management studies are good. But you won't find any good teacher in any of engineering field.
Other: GBU does't have any good fests they are just booting. Campus is located at a little remote place and roaming outside the campus is always a risk especially after evenings. The crowd is mainly of Delhi NCR which is quite decent but you will always find goons in every college but gbu had those type of people a little more. Gbu can become something better than IIT of it was well maintained and it was corruption free but it's poor administration makes us sad and I hope for its betterment in future.

Gautam Buddha University, the campus covers everything.
Placements: Since it's not a very old university, the placements are not really up to the mark. They've started providing basic placements since last year, and the salary packages ranged from 3.5 lacs to 11 lacs. Placements don't solely depend on the college but also on the calibre of the students, so this is a major but not the only criteria to categorise a college. This university has a very good and large campus, the infrastructure is just amazing. The hostels are compulsory, but the facilities make it worth. It is an AICTE approved government university, having such infrastructure and facilities in such a nominal fee is more than anything a student can ask for, and as far as the drawbacks like placement are concerned, they'll improve with time as the number and quality of students improve. Another drawback is their course structure due to which many students don't really prefer coming here is the compulsory integrated course (4+1). Though they've permitted only B.Tech from this year, so there's a scope of increased batch size. Other than this, the place is good and worth every penny.
Infrastructure: The college is completely air-conditioned. It has 8 different buildings for different schools like engineering, architecture, management, law, etc. There's a lake in the centre of them and a lot of green areas. There's a big 2-floor library building, a meditation centre, a separate auditorium other than the school auditoriums, a canteen in each school, different hostel campuses for boys and girls with each hostel building having a separate mess. The hostel is compulsory, but the rooms are single occupancy with quite a big size.
Faculty: There are mostly integrated courses like B.Tech + M.Tech/MBA. But now, they've come up with normal undergraduate courses as well. There are undergraduate and postgraduate courses available in every school. One can even take admission only for a postgraduation degree. The faculty members are mostly PhDs and Gold medalists, so that is never an issue.
Other: The fest and sports event are the only two major events, and they're just done internally. In a nutshell, events aren't to be much excited about, but the campus beauty covers it all. Hostel closing timings for girls are a bit early, but then, safety comes first.

World-class infrastructure, average or below average placements, and the hostel is mandatory.
Placements: As we all know, it's a university which is recently established, and only 2 batches have been passed out yet. Although for the first batch, there were hardly any campus placements. However, for the recent batch, around 40-50% of the students got campus placements. We are expecting it to be raised for coming batches.
Infrastructure: Gautam Buddha University has world-class infrastructure, and hardly any university or college can be compared with its infrastructure in India. It has been built in more than 550 acres with almost all the facility one can expect. There are a huge library, meditation centre, lots of sports grounds for each individual sport, practical labs.
Faculty: There is always a scope for further improvement in faculty and course curriculum. But having said that the university has lots of world-class faculty and almost all are student-friendly. In fact, there is a lot of scope for improvement in faculty-student interaction so that students can enhance their skills in various fields. If we talk about the course curriculum, then it must not be a point of consideration for taking admission as GBU follows guidelines of UGC for the course curriculum.
Other: From my experience, I would I like to say if you are unable to qualify for any IITs, IISc or any NIT and some of the top private colleges, then this university can provide you with the best you can ask for. But you have to work hard to compete with students of above-mentioned colleges. However, GBU will provide you with all the basic things which you need to succeed.
