There are two categories of affiliated institutes based on Gujarat University fees which include government / grant in aid and unaided institutes. Gujarat University BSc admission dates are inline with GCAS counselling schedule. GCAS registrations begin one or two weeks after the end of Class 12 board exam dates in May. Written exams are conducted by different boards on different dates between February and April.

STEP 2: Selection Process
Once candidates register for GCAS counselling, they will be allotted seats based on seat availability in preferred campuses and Class 12 board exam results. Candidates who are allotted seats are given an allotment letter which they need to submit at their allotted campus. Gujarat University BSc application fees of INR 500 will be charged at this stage.
STEP 3: Admission Confirmation
Final step of Gujarat University admission involves payment of BSc admission fees for confirmation of admission. This fees will be mentioned on the admission letter or slip issued to a candidate after their allottment letter as been verified. Document verification is conducted after this fees is paid following which, a candidate's admission is confirmed.

Gujarat University BSc curriculum has a duration of four years which covers eight semesters. However, under NEP 2020 policy, candidates can choose to pursue Gujarat University BSc syllabus for only three years and then exit the course.
