The teachers are well qualified, and placements are very poor.

Placements: The placement cell of the university is not working efficiently, so none of the students of our batch got placed. The placements drives are not organised for the post-graduation students in urban planning. None of our teachers helped us with the placements through the university.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our university is quite good. There are properly maintained roads with proper signage and bumps. The quality of water provided on the campus is not that good. The food offered in the canteen is good, but the prices are higher when compared with other government universities. The hostel building is good.

Faculty: The faculty members of the urban planning department are well versatile and have good experience in their fields. Most of the faculty members have done specialisation in their respective subjects, which are taught to students as per the syllabus. Mostly, the syllabus is completed on time. We face a few complications with the timetable of the college.

Other: The university organises an annual fest named Jashan.

Satisfied because of the food quality, teaching and library.

Placements: Placements are very good for our batch as well as for our senior batch i.e. more than even 50%. Highest salary offered is 6.2 LPA, lowest is 1.2 LPA and average being 3 LPA. Roles offered to the students are sales executives, IT role and some other finance related roles. Nearly 50% students got internships. Companies visited the campus are Punjab national bank, ICICI bank, Cisco, Wipro, etc.

Infrastructure: The facilities provided are not very bad and not very good. Classrooms are very old, library is very big and good with separate library for various departments. Medical facilities are also available in campus where free checkup and medicines are provided. For sports and games, all equipment are there with a specific ground for each sport.

Faculty: Faculty members were really good. They all were very friendly in nature and help students with every problem. They used mostly traditional method to teach in class and provide notes to it for exams. Once in semester, we go for an industry visit. Curriculum is pretty good but complex at the same time that helps us to brainstorm and think beyond lines.

Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar MBA applications are scheduled to close on July 11th, 2026. However, Business School has scheduled to close applications for integrated MBA course admission by June 20th. Candidates will appear for the exam three days after applications are closed.
