- Once a students get admission into IGNOU, he or she will recieve the enrollment number and ID for future login to the samarth portal of the university.
- Based on the choice made by the candidate while filling the application form, he or she will then recieve the study material. Soft copy is available on the official website of the university.

For MSc in Mathematics with Application in Computer Science: Applications must be submitted online at https://ignouflip.samarth.edu.in. During submission of the application, only the registration fee of INR 400 must be paid. Applicants selected for admission are intimated online and are required to pay the programme fee within the specified date, failing which the offer of admission is withdrawn and the seat is given to the candidate next in the merit list. The centre allotted by the university is final.

All the admission forms submitted via the Online Admission System are scrutinised and confirmed for admission subject to the fulfilment of eligibility criteria. These forms are processed region-wise on a first-come-first-serve basis.
It is compulsory to carry IGNOU ID-Card when appearing for the exam. However, in case a students forgets to bring the same, he or she can show an identity proof like Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, etc. Most of the exam centres accept identity proof in such cases but to avoid any kind of conflict, students must carry their IGNOU ID-Card along with an identity proof and admit card.
IGNOU admission is conducted in two cycles, i.e. January and July. While the registrations for the January session generally get over in March, Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) admission for the July session opens in June and remains open till Jul-Aug. The admissions are mainly based on merit. Students unable to get admission in the January batch are open for admission in the July batch.
Students who have applied for B.Ed, MBA or PB BSc Nursing must appear for the required entrance and check if they've qualified it. Followed by application, application fee payment and entrance, students who have completed their registration can check their status by entering their registration number on the IGNOU admission status page. The university also notifies students about their admission confirmation or rejection through an email and a text message in the next two months.
IGNOU MSc Curriculum
IGNOU MSc course curriculum includes theory, practical, and internship as important elements. Students can read below some details regarding the elements included in the syllabus:
- Practical: Participation in the practical sessions is compulsory. Each practical course is worth 2 credits and the duration of the practical sessions is seven days i.e. 14 sessions of four hours each. The term-end practical examination is held in the 15th session of the practical spell.
- Internship: Duration of internship for three months in the Dietetic Department of a recognised hospital/ institution, for the award of an MSc (DFSM) degree, is compulsory (except in case of credit transfer cases).
- Additional details: IGNOU allows credit transfer in the MSc (DFSM) programme to in-service dietitians (with a degree in Post Graduate Diploma in Dietetics and Public Health Nutrition only) who have completed a three-month internship programme from a recognised institution/ university in the last five years.
