New Horizon College of Education is not under Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). It is a separate educational institution offering teacher education programs. However, IGNOU itself offers various courses and programs in distance education mode, including those related to education.

Yes, IGNOU offers scholarships to students based on both need and merit basis. IGNOU students belonging to reserved categories, such as Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST), are eligible for fee exemption or reimbursement from IGNOU. Students of IGNOU can collect the scholarship forms from the Directorate of Social Welfare (DSE) or the office of the Social Welfare Officer (SWO) in their state, fill them out, and submit them to the Regional Director at the Regional Centre where they are admitted/registered for the programme. In the next step, the Regional Director will then certify the forms. After certification, the students can collect the forms from the Regional Centre and resubmit them to the Social Welfare Officer or Directorate of Social Welfare in their state for scholarship or reimbursement of programme fees.

IGNOU BEd Admission 2024 will remain open in the last week of November 2023 and the tentative last date to apply for IGNOU BEd Admission is 25 December 2023. The two-year professional degree programme for Bachelor of Education admission will be done online and offline.Candidates who hold a UG or PG degree with a minimum of 50 percent aggregate marks in any stream and specialisation are eligible to apply for admission. To apply, they should visit the IGNOU SED SERVICES Portal. The registration fee for the IGNOU BEd Admission Entrance test is INR 1,000. Application fees for IGNOU B.Ed Admission can be paid using MasterCard,  Visa, or Rupay card  (Debit, Credit, or Net Banking).

The total tuition fee for B.Ed at IGNOU is INR 55,000. This information is sourced from official website/ sanctioning body and is subject to change. Although, in the fee, a non-refundable registration fee of INR 200 (unless specified otherwise) shall be charged along with the programme fee for the first semester/ year at the time of admission.
