Yes, you can apply for the MCA course at IGNOU. If meeting the eligibility criteria as given below.
Eligibility: Any Bachelors's degree of minimum 3(three) year duration from a recognized University AND Mathematics as one of the subjects at 10+2 level or graduation level; else the student is required to pursue and pass the BCS-012 course concurrently with IGNOU MCA.
If you had studied Maths at +2 or graduation level, then you need not register for BCS-012.

Hello Aishwarya, it's nice to know that you have completed your Diploma in electrical engineering. Your desire of completion of your graduation in engineering from the open university of IGNOU via distance education is fraught with danger. This is so because many times in the past AICTE as well as a Supreme Court of India have declared professional courses like engineering as not valid via distance education. My sincere advice to you would be do not think of doing graduation in engineering via distance mode. If the place where you must be working has a part time college offering engineering then you can think of it. Alternatively you have the option of completing AMIE. This is equivalent to graduation in engineering for all practical purposes including promotions for getting a government job or thinking of doing post graduation in engineering also. Hello Hizabi Girl, you have completed your diploma in in IT engineering. Based on this you can not only seek admission for graduation in engineering but can seek admission directly into second year of four year degree course of engineering. This is called as lateral admission. Many states have conferred equivalent to 12th recognition for diploma holders. You need to obtain this from the institute from which you are doing diploma or you have completed diploma. Based on this you can seek admission for BCA also. Best wishes to you.
