    On Comparisons
Q:   How does IIULER compare to the top National Law Universities (NLUs)?
    A:

While NLUs are the traditional gold standard, IIULER offers a unique advantage because it is directly managed by the Bar Council of India Trust. While NLUs focus heavily on domestic law, IIULER's curriculum is more internationally oriented. The infrastructure in Goa is brand new and state-of-the-art. Many students choose IIULER over mid-tier NLUs because of its specialised focus on modern legal tech and its global faculty network.

Q:   What is the difference between IIULER and private law schools like Jindal?
    A:

Private schools like Jindal Global Law School are excellent but often come with much higher tuition fees. IIULER provides a similar global standard of education and international exposure but at a relatively more accessible fee structure because of its semi-government backing. While Jindal has a larger student body, IIULER offers a more tight-knit community and a direct connection to the regulatory body of the legal profession in India.

Q:   Why should I choose IIULER over a local government law college?
    A:

Local government colleges are affordable but often struggle with outdated syllabi and lack of campus placements. IIULER, on the other hand, offers a modern, frequently updated curriculum and dedicated placement support. You get access to digital libraries, international seminars, and moot court competitions that local colleges rarely provide. If your goal is to work for a top-tier corporate firm or practice internationally, IIULER provides a much stronger platform.

Q:   How does my CLAT rank specifically help in reducing my total course fees?
    A:

Your CLAT rank acts as a direct "discount key" for your entire five-year journey at IIULER. If you work hard and rank in the top 5,000, your total expenditure drops significantly to INR 29,88,610. Even if your rank is between 10,001 and 15,000, you still benefit from a reduced total cost of INR 32,31,750. To be precise, higher your rank, lower the fees.

Q:   If I didn't perform well in CLAT, can I still get a scholarship through IIULET?
    A:

Absolutely! IIULER offers scholarships based on the merit of the exam you took. If you sit for the IIULET (the university's own entrance test) and score 95% or above, you can get a 60% discount on your tuition fees. At a score between 85-94%, you will get a 50% discount. This provides a fantastic "second chance" to secure a scholarship based on your performance in the university's specific selection process rather than just the national CLAT.

Q:   Does IIULER have its own entrance exam if I miss the CLAT registration?
    A:

No. Since IIULER has officially joined the Consortium of NLUs, it no longer conducts a separate entrance test for admission to IIULER BA LLB (Hons.) course. Admission is strictly based on the CLAT (UG) merit list. If you miss the CLAT window, you generally cannot apply for that academic year.

Q:   What are the steps of application at IIULER Goa?
    A:

Eligible candidates can check below the steps of application process of IIULER application process:

    • Go to official website -consortiumofnlus.ac.in
    • Fill the application form and submit the documents
    • Pay the application fee of INR 4000 for General/OBC and INR 3500 for SC/ST.
    • Submit the form
    • Select IISER Goa during counselling process
Q:   Can I take direct admission at IIULER Goa?
    A:

No, students generally cannot take direct, entrance-exam-free admission to IIULER Goa for its flagship programs, as it now admits students primarily through the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT)
