Great placements, stressful academics, great for anyone interested in coding
Placements: 100% students got placed from IIIT Hyderabad. In 2017, IIIT Hyderabad became the first Indian college to be visited by Apple Inc. For the CSE branch, the lowest salary offered was 6.25 LPA, the average salary was 18.53 LPA and the highest was 35 LPA. For CSD branch, the lowest package offered was 7 LPA, the average salary was 15.75 LPA and the highest was 34 LPA. All the top-tier companies visited as usual including Apple, Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Facebook and Linkedin. People from the CSE and CSD branches were placed as software engineers in these companies. 100% got internships as well. Some of the students got the internship at Google, and a few others at Facebook.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available all around the campus and has a very high speed, as does the LAN in the hostels. IIIT-H is famous for its research labs, so obviously, they are pretty well-developed. Classrooms are pretty good. The library has a pretty wide collection of books, and is a great place to study. There are two-three doctors in IIIT, an allopathic doctor who is there throughout the week and a homeopathic doctor who comes once a week. The facilities for sports and games are good, but not great. We have basketball, badminton and volleyball courts. There are TT and carrom tables in every hostel. We also have pretty large grounds for playing cricket and football. There are three canteens in IIIT, the Basketball Canteen (BBC), the Vindhya Canteen and the Juice Canteen. The BBC is where you get Maggi (different flavours, from Manchurian to Singapore to Cheese Maggi to Vegetable Maggi), idli, dosa and bonda. In the Vindhya Canteen, there is a great sandwich outlet called which Please, where you get really tasty grilled sandwiches, of different flavours. It also has a Juice Corner, and also snacks depending on the time of day, from poha, bonda, omelette and pakodas. We also get icecreams and soft drinks there. In the Juice Canteen, there is a bakery, a Frankie shop and another juice corner. There is also a mini-restaurant over there, where you get noodles, naan, etc. There is also a restaurant in IIIT called Hello Curry, where you get basically everything. The hostel rooms in Old Boys Hostel (OBH) are large and spacious, while the rooms in Bakul Nivas are slightly smaller, though newer. Bakul Nivas is a new hostel, so it has an elevator and the bathrooms are much cleaner and spacious than the ones in OBH. OBH doesn't even have an elevator, so that is a bit of a problem.
Faculty: The faculty members are very highly qualified and come from highly reputed foreign universities, and some of them from Ivy League universities. They are also very helpful. The student to faculty ratio is higher in the first and second years due to compulsory courses, but after that, as the optional courses also begin to be offered, the ratio goes down. We have industry exposure from the 3rd sem only, where we have to intern at some company or startup as part of the course. There is a reason why Apple chose us before IIT-B. The course curriculum is diverse, and it covers both the theoretical and practical aspects of computer science. We have tutorials, for solving exercises and discussing assignments and labs, for practical knowledge in addition to the regular lectures, which deal with the theoretical part. We learn a lot mainly from the assignments, which are mostly coding related (at least for my course, which is computer science) and we get to learn a lot on our own this way. I feel the role the assignments play in the learning process is invaluable.
Other: We learn a lot not just from the faculty members, but from the seniors too, as they have cracked prestigious coding competitions like ICPC, GSoC, etc. We have clubs on the campus for the same, such as the OSDG (Open Source Development Group) club and the Programming Club. These are some of the most active clubs in IIIT. One team from our college goes to the ICPC World Finals every year. We also have the maximum number of selections in the world from our college for the Google Summer of Code (GSoC). There are other clubs as well in IIIT, such as the dance club, the music club, the literary club, the debate club, the drama club, etc.

Review of IIIT Hyderabad - International Institute of Information Technology (IIITH).
Placements: IIIT provides good placements for all UG, PG and research students. Salary packages are very good, and the average salary package offered is more than 15 LPA. For research, the salary packages are on the higher side, and Flipkart offered the salary packages of 62 LPA to PhD students with ML profile. So students should know about machine learning.
Infrastructure: All laboratories have good equipment and support of project funds. There is a lot of equipment available, and we buy new equipment as per the requirements. Space and lab area is not an issue. There is a lot of good space to sit and experimentation. It's a good place to do research.
Faculty: Faculty members are very good, and most of them have PhD and postdoc from great universities of the world. They guide well and have good collaboration with other faculty members in India and abroad. The course is a bit tough to clear but gives good learning. We have to take a minimum of 6 courses to clear course work.

I am satisfied because faculty and their support, Infrastructure is not great, improving rapidly.
Placements: Every company which come to the placements impresses everyone. Recently IIIT made into headlines as the first college to visit Apple company for the placements. IIIT Hyderabad never makes you prepare for your first job, but it always makes to prepare for your last job.
Infrastructure: IIIT Hyderabad always encourages everyone to take part in sports. We have physical training as a compulsory course for first-year students, which gives us the mindset to take part in sports even after years later. In classrooms, we have Wi-Fi, but in hostels, we have only LAN cables. Hostel rooms are spacious and well maintained. We never faced an infrastructure issue.
Faculty: Even though the course curriculum but harshly faculty and teaching assistants always co-ordinate with students. Mainly my experience was when I took a particular course I always used to curse the TA and professor for a lot of assignments but the following year I used to thank them daily because they laid a strong foundation for the next years.

Small and vibrant community with good placement opportunities and future prospects in research
Placements: The average package of placement went beyond 12L/annum. 100% placement was observed. Students got into google, Microsoft, Amazon, and many other companies. The highest package was observed 40Lac/annum and lowest went around 10lac/annum. Software Developer, Analyst and Site Reliability Engineer were some of the roles provided for placement opportunity by the companies which came for campus placement. Roughly 40% of batch got an internship in various on-campus rounds. Highest stipend in case of internship was 1Lac/month. Lowest was 30K/month.
Infrastructure: The institute has facilities like wifi, labs for each research department, library, medical centre with free checkup by reputed doctors, 3 fields for football, cricket and basketball respectively. It also has a gym and indoor games area to play carom, table tennis, badminton, etc. 4 canteens with various kinds of food and regular inspection of food quality by student bodies to make sure the food is good. Hostel are double occupancy for 1st and 2nd years students then single occupancy for all others. All the infrastructure related issues are readily fixed by complaints.
Faculty: Some faculty are really helpful and qualified. Some are qualified but not helpful enough and some are not qualified and not even helpful. Some good faculties left to various IITs. Teaching methods vary among various faculties. Student to faculty ratio is roughly 60:1. Curriculum is good and similar to various IVY league colleges from the US.
