A detailed description of all selection modes accepted by IIIT Hyderabad for admission to Dual Degree programmes is given below:
- DASA UG channel: Candidates who are abroad and wish to study at IIIT Hyderabad must apply via this channel.
- UGEE channel: For admission to research based Dual Degree programmes, candidates are required to attempt this entrance exam. Admissions is based on performance of candidates in this exam followed by Personal Interview (PI).
- Lateral Entry Entrance Examination (LEEE) mode: Students seeking lateral entry admission to Dual Degree programmes must apply via this mode. Duration of Dual Degree programmes trims down to four years via this mode of admission.

IIIT Hyderabad Application Process 2023
IIIT Hyderabad application process 2023 for all courses is completely open. Eligible candidates must visit application portal of this institute and apply online. See below application process:
PhD students can take the relevant courses in the first one or two semesters, depending on the background, just like a student of MS by research. After the first year, the student works on clearing the PhD qualifying exam which tests his or her breadth of knowledge in the field of study. To be eligible, candidates must have completed a relevant MPhil or master's degree course. Final selection to PhD at IIIT Hyderabad is subject to a valid score in one among PGEE/ Winter Research Entrance Test (WREE)/ GATE exam. Additionally, other selection rounds such as Written General Aptitude Test and a personal interview is also conducted to finalise the students before offering them admission.
