The college infrastructure is not good. There is no campus life in the college.
Placements: I am in the first batch of B.Sc. Computational Biology courses in Jain deemed to be University, Bangalore, J.C. Road campus. I have joined the batch of 2023 to 2026. Till now, we are 8 members in our class. But from our juniors, the strength is slightly increasing.
Infrastructure: We have a well-equipped library. Classrooms are fully air-conditioned and well-equipped with Wi-Fi. But I don't recommend taking the Jain hostel for accommodation. It is worthless. You have to pay 2 lakh for 1 year, and it is not worth paying 2 lakhs. Placements are also available for this course from various MNCs like EY, SAP Labs, etc.
Faculty: The exam in college is conducted every semester. Each semester is for 4 to 5 months. We have MCQ, mid-term, and then the mid-semester exam. Passing mark for theories is 18 out of 50. You can pass if you study well. The exams are not as difficult as those at another university. The faculty are so friendly in our department.
Other: I chose this course because there is bright future in this course once you pass out. Getting a job is very high in this course. We also have many cultural fests like Nexus, Anveshana, Onam celebration, and many more.

Dissatisfied because of bad campus and no placements.
Placements: In our batch, hardly 2 students got placed, that too in an insurance company whereas our degree is related to biotechnology. The package was 2.5 LPA - 3 LPA. The recruiting company was named GoDigit. It offered sales type of role. Why would I join a sales role when my specialization is in biotechnology?
Infrastructure: Campus is bad. It has no playground. Poor Wi-Fi and the labs are all poorly built. There is no hostel available. The campus is small and the auditorium doesn't even qualify to be a godown. There are no sports facilities or playgrounds and the fests are all bad and they ask money for them.
Faculty: Some teachers are good and others are average. The curriculum doesn't make students industry-ready. The semester exams are not that difficult to pass and these people take a huge amount of exam fees and if a student gets a backlog they ask for Rs. 10,000- Rs. 11,000 for reappearing. Just pure greed.
Other: This course has no scope in India but the college doesn't even help to make us industry-ready. The internships provided here are all paid where we have to pay an amount of Rs. 4,000- Rs. 5,000.

If you want to study animation, never chose a degree. If you want college life, chose this college.
Placements: Placements are good in our college, and there are a lot of big companies are ready to hire us. But, to get placed, we need to higher marks like a certain CGPA. The college also provides internship offers to students during the course period.
Infrastructure: There are classes for lab and theory. In the lab classes, there are a lot of systems, but I never get to use them. I don’t know why it’s like that, they’re just there. There is Wi-Fi facility available, which is free for everyone, and the library is fine, it's okay.
Faculty: If we talk about faculty members, teachers are very helpful and friendly, and the teaching methods are also good. But, the course doesn’t make students industry-ready, and the semester exams are quite hard, but it's good. The teaching quality doesn’t fully match the course fee.
Other: If you are looking to study animation, don’t go for a degree just look for some studios.

Absolutely frustrating because of the arrogant nature of teachers.
Placements: There is no placement option in my course, but they keep saying that placements would be there before we leave the college. If there are no placements, there will be no package offered. I don't have any idea about the recruiters. Internships are there for one-two months after the end of each semester.
Infrastructure: There is no outdoor facility of this branch in the college. There is no Wi-Fi in classrooms. We have a library. Labs are mostly empty with equipment that we can't even use. The hostel is good. The money they are charging for the hostel is too high than the course fee.
Faculty: Teachers are full of ego and arrogant except for some of them. They are helpful. The curriculum is almost of no use according to the job offer by my course. Exams are good but no exam paper was issued in the preparatory exam. The pass percentage is about 60%. Mid-term and multiple choices are not performed properly.
Other: Force to stay in the event until the end by threatening by IA mark and attendance.

Good infrastructure but the placement is not that good.
Placements: We only get placements for our internship with no stipend. Total students were 71 in my batch. Roles-catch lab technician and echo technician. Main hospitals that provide good internships are KIMS, Manipal, Apollo, Master. Some of them got internships from the college side, rest applied on their own.
Infrastructure: Everything was great. Infrastructure is nice but could have been better with the facilities. No ground, no extraordinary things or hobbies that you could try. Canteen provides cheap and the best food with good hygiene. Medical facilities are available in the college.
Faculty: Teaching is very nice. Finals exams were easy as they conduct many internals. But yes, passing the exam will not give you a job. You need to experience all the hospital setup, which is only possible by internship. Passing marks for each subject is 32, and a percentage of 75 is good to get a good placement.
Other: There should be more practical knowledge than the theory. Postings should be done every month. They celebrated every festival and event.

Overall, I am satisfied with it. It has good faculty members and good placements.
Placements: More than 50% of students get placed in my course. The salary packages can vary from 2-6 LPA. Teach giants like Wipro, Tata, HCL, and Infosys visit the college to recruit students. More than 60% of students got internships. There are specialisations in animation and in VFX and masters in VFX and animation. Gaming and digital filmmaking courses are also available.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in most labs but not so much in classrooms. AC is available in every class and the library is good too. I don't know about the hostel as it costs are much as the college fees. I did not stay there but I heard that there are top-notch facilities. There will be a bus for hostel students to take them from college every day.
Faculty: Teachers are very knowledgeable in their respective fields. They lack teaching skills maybe because I'm in the animation course as art is difficult to explain. They are very knowledgeable and more than willing to clear any doubts we have.
Other: I chose this course to pursue art and to increase my artistic skills. The best thing about my course is the class timings as it is not too much and we will have plenty of time left in our day. I wish they would give the students original Adobe software and not cracked ones. Events are good there is always something happening on the campus.
