Kalinga University offers BSc in Biotechnology in regular for a period of three years. The programme is spread across six semesters. Each semesters is graded with a total marks of 550 which is a combination of both enternal and external marks. The Biotechnology curriculum covers basic concepts of biology, biotechnology, molecular biology, genomics and proteomics, Recombinant DNA technology, etc. The main objective of the programme is to equip post-graduates with advanced skills, knowledge, and research aptitude to pursue higher education, entrepreneurship, or research and development in various areas of health, research, and industry.
The admission seats in the university varies from course to course in the university. The student who has passed his/her 12th with 45% marks can apply for admission. The university conducts it's own entrance exam KALSEE (kalinga Scholastic entrance exam) for admission in various courses, and the number of seats in B.Sc depends on various factors such as how many students has applied for the B.Sc programme and it may vary time to time and depends on some factors such as vailabilityof seats, eligibility criteria, and the number of applicant's actions received by the university in that year .
Kalinga University has a good record of placements. During the 2021 placements, 809 students were placed in reputed companies. Out of the total students placed, 405 students were from the UG programmes and 404 were from the PG programmes. Kalinga University placement report 2023 is yet to be published on the official website. However, the NIRF report 2023 is released. As per the report, 475 UG and 426 PG students were placed during Kalinga University placements 2022. The median package offered to UG students ranged between INR 2.5 LPA and INR 4.2 LPA, respectively. KALSEE is an entrance exam conducted by Pearson VUE on behalf of Kalinga University to offer admission to various Kalinga University courses. Candidates can follow the below admission procedure for Kalinga University BSc admission 2024:
Step 1: Candidates are required to fill out the online KALSEE application form with all the required details.
Step 2: While submitting the form, candidates must pay the application fee of INR 1,200.
Step 3: Candidates must appear for the KALSEE exam and score a minimum of 50%.
Step 4: After the exam, the University releases lists with names of candidates who have passed the KALSEE exam.
Step 5: Now passed candidates must make course registration on the official website of the University.
Step 6: After registration, candidates must pay the Kalinga University BPharma course fees thereby concluding the admission process.
