Direct admission to MBA at Kalinga University is not applicable. As per the university's admission guidelines, candidates must appear for the Kalinga Scholastic Entrance Examination (KALSEE) an entrance exam conducted by Pearson VUE on behalf of Kalinga University. Candidates must complete twelve years of school education from any recognised board to be eligible for the KALSEE exam.
The Admission process and eligibility criteria at Kalinga University is based on the merit list of students.
The student who has passed his/her graduation B.Sc with minimum of 40% marks is eligible and just he or she has to give an entrance exam of Kalinga University named KALSEE ( Kalinga Scholastic entrance exam). It is a CBT which is compulsory for all students to who wants to take admission in the university. It is a 90 minute duration with 90 MCQs test which has no negative markings. If you are eligible to obtain 50% marks in the KALSEE entrance test then you can easily get admission in Kalinga University.

Kalinga University offers various UG, PG, Diploma, and Integrated courses through its 14 departments.
- Candidates who have passed 10+2/HSC or its equivalent qualifying examination with minimum 45% aggregate (40% for reserve category) from a recognised Board are considered eligible for admission to the UG course.
- Applicants with graduation degree of minimum three years with at least 45% marks (40% for the reserved category) from a recognised university are considered eligible to get admission in any PG course.
- Candidates are selected on the basis of their merit in the qualifying examination (for UG course) or in the Graduation Degree (for PG course) as per the guidelines of the university.
- The application form is the same for every course (UG/ PG) and is available online and offline. Candidates shall submit the application fee of INR 1200 either through net banking/ credit/ debit card in online mode or through demand draft/ cash in offline mode.

Aspirants will be considered for PG programmes at KU if they have completed their graduation (graduation with three-year duration) with a minimum of 45% aggregate.
Students belonging to SC and ST category will need a minimum of 40% for admissions. Students aiming for admissions to integrated programmes should have passed Class 12.
