My Experience at Kalinga University.
Placements: According to data, the percentage of B. Tech students getting placement in 2024 varies around 60-90% of students securing placements. The highest B. Tech package can reach up to 40-50 LPA offered by top companies, while the average package is around 10.25 LPA, with the lowest packages typically starting from 3-6 LPA. Some of the top recruiting companies like Wipro, Cognizant, TCS, Accenture, HCL, etc. KU provides many internships on live projects. Top roles offered to B. Tech graduates include Software Developer, Data Scientist, Cloud Engineer, Cybersecurity Analyst.
Infrastructure: Kalinga University has a wide range of facilities and infrastructure like smart classrooms, laboratories, auditoriums, seminar rooms, cafeterias, and a sports complex. The university has well-equipped medical facilities, a huge sports complex, and also has a canteen and mess that serves healthy and nutritious meals.
Faculty: Kalinga University is generally considered to have good teaching quality with qualified faculty. The teachers are helpful, cooperative, and masters in their subjects. The B. Tech curriculum can be considered relevant and prepares students for the industry to a certain extent, and the students take the initiative to acquire additional skills beyond coursework. At the end of the semester, the exams are typically hard, as I feel. The pass percentage is about 50%.
Other: I chose the B. Tech course because I have a strong interest in technology and I wanted a degree that would equip me with practical skills to design and create innovative solutions in the real world. To improve, there should be a stronger emphasis on practical applications, industry-relevant skills like coding and data analysis.

Kalinga is a beautiful and green campus where students never feel alone, and it is supportive.
Placements: About 100% of students got placed in our course. The minimum salary offered is Rs. 15,000 per month and the maximum salary offered is Rs. 25,000 per month and the average salary offered is Rs. 30,000 per month. Many top companies visited the campus and offered placements, and I got placed in Hira Group. All students got placed in the companies invited by the college and inquired more, but lots of companies from across the country offered, and students are well trained to handle the interviews.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not too huge but it is good, and a huge library with enough books are available. Two labs for our department and other departments also have labs. Classrooms were nice, and the canteen was beautiful. They provide world-class hostels with full Wi-Fi campus and green environment, big parking for all vehicles. Sports facilities for most sports, like football, cricket, volleyball, and basketball balls were available. A female-friendly environment with a clinic for emergencies was available. Indoor games, music dance and drama, were conducted. Mess makes good food, but it's a mess, so it's not the best, but it's nice, don't wanna exaggerate. Two hostels are provided international students hostel, and local students hostel separate for both boys and girls.
Faculty: The college has a lot of senior and junior faculty members qualified and full time working in college, they teach in both Hindi and English, and as per for me I found them helpful as am an international student and needed more teaching in specifically English language. Our course curriculum matched with all major colleges in India and is relevant, but I was got placed in a job fitting my course, so I believe it makes students industry-ready.
Other: I have chosen this course because I like electrical engineering, and I get inspired by my dad, who is also an electrical engineer. I believe it is the most relevant course of all branches of engineering because it supports all the other 3, and if you study deeper, you will feel the same. The college organises annual sports, music and dance fest, and lots of arts to display, like fashion and others. Science fests is organised, where students compete with projects in various fields and lots of seminars for different purposes.

Kalinga university is a decent university But not that dream university .
Placements: 30-40% of students were placed in teach field. And mostly there's no teach roles so better work on yourself the highest package 8lpa the lowest 2.5lpa but it changes every year Idk 20% students got internship in startup mostly, college cannot help you to get internship outside Full sack developed .
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is okay only less capacity in library, labs are good with AC and good capacity Hostels have gym good mess, sports facilities is nice And the management is decent only there's god crowd around the campus Decent campus life College life can be enjoyed .
Faculty: Different teachers different aspects But most of the teachers are helpful Courses aren't enough students have to work on everything Seems aren't that difficult but depends on courses as well if you'll prepare well w days before you'll get good marks.
Other: I chose CSE because I always wanted to be in teach field yes more practical training should be there not just theory teachers should give us idea about how to perform in real life situations Events aren't that good sports events are nice You can get scholarship according to your 12th marks and KALSEE as well.

I don't think that pursuing B.Tech via distance mode is worthful. You should try it in regular mode.
