B.Tech. in Dairy Technology - Batch of 2027
Offered by Dairy Science College, Bangalore
4.2

Absolutely satisfied and excellent because of good friendly faculty and good placements.
Placements: Nearly 80% of students got placed. The highest salary package offered is 30 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 60 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Amul, Dodla, Nandini, and Almarai. Almost 15% of students will get merit scholarships, and 10% of students will get general scholarships. Top roles in this course are managing director of dairy industry, dairy engineer, and others.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are very good and library provides every book. Hostel provides healthy food. College also has dispensary and indoor sports complex. College will have interclass sports, intercollege sports, and inter-university sports where all the students can participate and faculty will support them.
Faculty: Faculty members are good. Teachers are very helpful and all are pursuing Ph.D in particular departments. The teaching quality is good. Students will have the ready program when we can visit the dairy industries and learn things from there and also have an educational tour in India along with internship program last year. If we understand the course properly then exams are easy. The pass percentage is 85%.
Other: I chose this course because my father suggested me and he is a farmer. The best thing about this course is it is very interesting to learn and gain knowledge. University will conducts the inter-college Youthfest where students can participate in cultural programs. Almost 15% of students will get merit scholarships, and 10% of students will get general scholarships.

Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSC) and Animal Husbandry (AH) - Batch of 2025
2.6
3Placements3Infrastructure2Faculty1Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
Just good enough to get a BVSC and AH degree.
Placements: There are no campus placements offered in this course. As you become a veterinary degree holder after graduating, jobs can be procured in private clinics or by appearing for government exams. The starting pay offered can be anywhere from Rs 40,000 to Rs 80,000.
Infrastructure: Hostel facilities are of the minimum standard as provided in any government college. Mess food is not upto the mark. Library is well-equipped with all the necessary study materials and books. During the first year, students will have one hour per week dedicated to sports activities.
Faculty: All teachers are well qualified and knowledgeable in their respective fields. But many of them teach like drones. The syllabus is taught according to the revised MVSC 2016 curriculum. Students can pass the year end exams if they have a good hold of the subject.
Other: There are very few events/ fests conducted in this college if at all any. Campus life is very dull. Some professors are old timers who have strict mindset.

Good course if you like it.
Placements: I'm a graduate of the College of Fisheries, Mangalore. About 60-70% of students get placed after graduation. The average salary varies based on the post you get after graduation, from INR 60,000 to 2,00,000. Usually, graduates work in fish farms, fish feed, and processing units. 100% of students get internships in Fisheries-related companies like breeders, fish farmers, and processing units across the state. Graduates work in a variety of roles, depending on their subject of preference and practice. Some work as farm managers, supervisors, or senior scientists in research institutes. Others work as government officials.
Infrastructure: The facilities are not so commendable, especially considering the lack of financial aid from the university. However, the college has one of the best libraries I've ever seen. The hostel and food facilities are average, as are the medical facilities. On the plus side, the college is considerably good in terms of sports and games.
Faculty: Some of the faculty are good and some are not so good. The course focuses extensively on topics that we can pursue in the future. Scoring is considerably easy in this course, and the pass percentage is 50%. If a student knows the subject well and has listened to classes, they can pass even by studying the night before the exam.
Other: I chose this college because I was interested in learning about fishes and deep interest in Science based knowledge and it being near to my homeplace. The teaching is practical based and less importance to theory and more to skill enhancement with exposure to different industries or job opportunities. Extracurricular activities are rare even fests for that matter though we celebrate college day, freshers day and send offs.

Proud to be a part of College of Fisheries, Mangalore.
Placements: There is a placement cell in the college, but there is no use. Placement is solely depending on individuals knowledge and contacts. 5-8 companies visited the campus for campus interview last year (2017). Minimum stipend available for students is 1000, and the maximum is Rs. 3000.
Infrastructure: As it is Asia's first fisheries college, it's going to celebrate it's golden jubilee this year (2018). The classrooms have not been upgraded to presents needs and standards. Renovation of old building also not taken up. There is no Wi-Fi available in the campus, whereas there is a sophisticated library with computers and internet facilities. Labs are of moderate infrastructure and are not bad to carry on practicals. College of Fisheries Mangalore is heaven for sports and games and extracurricular activities. There is a well established indoor stadium with standard badminton court, table tennis, games, wonderful gymnasiums and swimming pool which is very well-maintained. Also, there is a basketball court and volleyball and also. There is a large playground. The quality of food available in the canteen is good and is according to students need. The menu is based on students request which makes the food suitable for all.
Faculty: All the faculty members are the alumni of the same institution, hence are very cooperative, understand and know the problems faced by students in the college. They are very supportive and helpful in all the ways in studies and research activities. All the teaching methods are used in order to make the concepts clear, also the smart class. As there are 4 months of implant training in industries and complete industrial exposure is gained. The course curriculum is upgraded with 5 deans committee meeting.
Other: There is district level Fishco fest organized which includes various cultural competition. Also, intercollegiate sports and cultural fests are also organised.

The canteen provides awesome food for the students prepared in a hygienic condition.

Absolutely satisfied because of the faculty, good placements, and really good infrastructure.
Placements: In our college, there are around 190 to 200 students from the first to fourth years in the Bachelor of Technology (Dairy Technology). 2 to 3 companies visit with offers, and the college gives opportunities to many students in the top companies. Many students are working out of the country, and are also in good positions.
Infrastructure: College also has clean and very good labs, a library, and classrooms. Our hostel also provides good, healthy, and nutritious food. College also provides cultural activities and games, both indoors and outdoors.
Faculty: Teaching faculty members of our college are very good, experienced, with a nice way of teaching, which is very helpful to us. They are very responsive and also help to develop our personality and good character. This course also has a good and relevant curriculum.
Other: I chose this course because of less competition and a good future, which is very helpful to succeed in our lives very quickly.
