Satisfactory placements and infrastructure, good teaching faculty, pleasant atmosphere, etc.
Placements: The placements of our batch as well of our seniors were quite satisfactory. A good number of students were placed for various jobs. The highest salary offered was Rs. 40,000 per month and the lowest was Rs. 10000 per month. I saw a few companies like Airtel, HDFC and ICICI, Prudential Life visiting Kashmir University but that was an indirect process or invitation. I think the university is lagging behind in this area. They need to come forward in this regard and invite more companies. The highest stipend offered during internships was Rs. 20,000 per month, the average was Rs. 15,000 per month and the lowest was Rs. 10,000 per month. There is no placement cell and the authorities are working to establish a placement cell in near future.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of Kashmir University is awesome which is evident from the following facts. The university provides 24-hour Wi-Fi facility to the students which means a lot in today's life. There are highly developed labs where all types of modern equipment can be seen. Classrooms are highly maintained, and there are lighting arrangements in every classroom. Classrooms have fans but not ACs. A library popularly known as Alma Iqbal Library lies in the heart of the campus. Almost every book that a student needs in his course can be found in this library. There is a big playground in the university where different tournaments are played. Moreover, there is also a canteen where students get their foodstuffs at sufficient rates. The canteen always remains neat and clean. A mini dispensary can also be seen on the campus where students got benefitted regarding health-related issues. There are also hostel facilities in the university. The hostel rooms are highly maintained, and there is almost every facility available in the rooms. In short, I can say that the infrastructure of Kashmir University is quite praiseworthy.
Faculty: Well qualified and dedicated staff are found in every department of the university. They try their best for the betterment of students. The teachers here have qualified National Eligibility Test (NET), State Eligibility Test (SET), etc. and have degrees like M.Phil and PhD. Other researchers can also be found here. Offline as well as online teaching methodology is used, and the faculty to student ratio is 2:25. The course curriculum is somewhat on the other side. The courses are same for the last 10 years and are a bit outdated.
Other: Various events are conducted in our university every year. Events regarding drug addiction, health-related issues, environmental problems, career counselling, etc. are conducted. The surroundings of the campus are heart touching. There is a popular lake near the campus known as Dal Lake which is famous throughout the world. Moreover, there are many gardens in the surroundings of the campus. The campus crowd is neither too high nor too low, and every type of transport is available. Moreover, the university has also adopted a scheme called" Student Aid Fund" under which financial assistance is extended to students, particularly with a poor economic background. Merit scholarships and research scholarships are also provided to the desired students.

Best University of Jammu and Kashmir.
Placements: Some MNC visit the campus every year for placements and internship. Companies like DELL, WIPRO, HP, IBM etc. visit the campus for placements. Also some Foreign companies from Dubai, Saudi Arabia also visited the campus for placements. Recently a company from Dubai visited for placement in teaching field of their school.
Infrastructure: According to me, the infrastructure is best as compared to other Universities of the state. There is availability of everything that students need in their education programme. There is the latest and traditional equipment present in the labs for students. In-library almost every book can be found that a student need in his course.
Faculty: Well qualified and dedicated staff is found in every department of the University. They try their best for the betterment of students. Highly qualified teachers having qualified National Eligibility Test NET, State Eligibility Test (SET), etc. and having degrees like M Phil, Ph.D. and other researchers can be found there.
Other: Students are given chance to participate in extra curricular activities such as sports, group discussions, and other social activities. Student are also given scholarships. Poor and needy persons are also provided financial assistance.

The beauty of the campus is not less than heaven.
Placements: Among my batch mates and seniors, the maximum got placed within three years after completion of the degree. I am hardly seeing anyone who is not engaged either in research or government service. There are a number of persons I am in contact with, who were the students of the same stream, and are presently in possession of high ranks in public services.
Infrastructure: The university is well known for its well-furnished central library situated in the middle of the campus named as Allama Iqbal central library. This library is the biggest library of Kashmir. This library has automatic systems installed through which a student can make issue and return of books. All the departments have a separate library, which can be accessed by scholars and students. Wi-Fi was free in the initial years, but later, it was restricted and limited. The speed is not so good and has less than 4G speed. A quite satisfactory hospital is available there. The canteen food is satisfactory and not so good. The interesting thing I enjoyed is the photocopies are available at amazing rates.
Faculty: The faculty are having no match. They are highly qualified and very intelligent. Let me clear you one thing, despite teaching faculty being good, in the first year, they give more concentration to newcomers, but in the later years, they show insensitive behaviour towards teaching. One of the worst things presently there is that they have adapted credit system which is a total failure. This has hampered the smooth working of the academic curriculum. This is, in fact, the worst thing I am realising, and due to this, the resulting process and awarding of degrees take a very long time. Fees are more comparatively.
Other: Nowadays, various student-friendly measures have been taken to smoothen the process, but still, there are a lot of things yet to do.

The University of Kashmir is Really Awesome and I am highly satisfied.
Placements: After Completing my Postgraduation at University of Kashmir I got a lecturers job in one of the reputed higher secondary school of the valley. In the same way maximum of my batch mates and my seniors got placed in different departments. Many of my batch mates are getting a handsome salary and myself to fatch a handsome salary of 2k every month.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure at University of Kashmir is really awesome students can avail facilities like 24x7 Library where you can find every kind of book and other facilities like Wi-Fi, Drinking water, Hostel and Medical facilities are also very nice and Students can also participate in various types of Sports and Cultural activities. In fact the University Conducts an annual Cultural festival called Sonzal where students can explore their talent.
Faculty: The Teachers at University of Kashmir are highly Qualified, Experienced, Knowledgeable and very helpful. The Teaching Quality at University of Kashmir is Highly Influential and much more Productive. Every Kind of Teaching Aid is Used by teachers to make teaching effective. Course Curriculum is highly useful.
Other: The Campus is Situated on the Bank of Famous Dal Lake. University is also known for its scenic beauty, the famous Naseem Bagh adds to its beauty. The students can also participate in various Extracurricular activities as well and can avail many Scholarships.

Average faculty and infrastructure of the university of Kashmir.
Placements: All placements are done through UDAAN programme. But as such, no private or government agencies are invited to the vicinity for placing the students in some private or government departments or sectors. The university also lacks the willingness to invite some domestic or national companies to get them familiar with the talent what the campus has. Not even a single programme is run for the students to inspire them to go for entrepreneurship. The university needs to work on their placement programmes and other similar facilities.
Infrastructure: Since the university is located in Kashmir, so the scenic beauty is mesmerising. The infrastructure of the university is quite satisfactory, but the university lags in employing new and high-tech equipment for making learning more interactive. The technologies used in rest of the world for learning is a far-off dream for the students. 3D classes, e-learning and industrial visits seem like a vague dream for the alumni.
Faculty: Since my course is somewhat more professional, so the faculty of my department is quite good. They make the class more interactive, stimulate the class to go for class discussions, employ role plays, and other similar tools. Brainstorming and topic discussions have also helped the students to learn a lot. The most worrying part is the course curriculum. The syllabus of the subject is mostly obsolete. I guess the department hasn't changed the syllabus since decades. It's less oriented to present day happenings.

It has a good learning environment with decent placements and basic facilities.
Placements: 60% of students get placed. The highest package is 7 LPA, and the average package is 3.5 LPA. The lowest package is 2.4 LPA. Companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Byju's, and Tech Mahindra hire students. 50% of students got internships in companies like TCS, iON, local startups, and government departments. Roles like software developer, data analyst, BDE, and support engineer are offered.
Infrastructure: The department has decent infrastructure with Wi-Fi, smart classrooms, well-equipped computer labs, and access to the central library. Labs are updated regularly, and classrooms are spacious. The hostel is basic with shared rooms. The mess food is average. The canteen is better. Medical help is available on campus. There are good sports facilities for indoor and outdoor games.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is generally good. The course curriculum is mostly theoretical, but it covers basics well. Some industry exposure is missing. Exams are moderate, and the pass rate is 85-90%. It is good enough.
Other: It has a good scope and supportive faculty members. It has more practicals and an updated syllabus. There is a peaceful, decent crowd, fests, scholarships, and average transport facilities.
