An enriching college experience with knowledgeable faculty.
Placements: The on-campus placement drive doesn’t usually happen. The job opportunities provided in the on-campus placement drive are very low. Students usually go for off-campus placements. Many seniors have opted for jobs in off-campus placements only. There is not any known rate for the placements of the passouts through this college.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good and labs are well maintained with new generation computers. The hostel facilities are also available for the students from far-flung areas. Also, there is a canteen and a dispensary for the students inside the campus.
Faculty: There are teachers available for every subject, and the permanent teachers usually start teaching from the second year. The first year is totally taught by the contractual faculty. The semester exams are comprised of two exams: one internal mid-semester and another external end-semester. Students have to secure a minimum of 20 marks in both exams to qualify for the next semester.

Very bad place to complete your graduation because of the lacking faculty and opportunities.
Placements: The university does not have a placement cell, and no companies come to campus for on-campus placements. As a result, there are zero placements, and no students have received high or low packages.
Infrastructure: The engineering department is a two-story building with four classrooms and two computer labs. Each classroom has air conditioning and a projector for digital demonstrations. The library is well stocked with the books required for the courses offered on campus. Water filters are provided in every building. The hostel is located about 3 kilometers from the campus and is accessible by a dedicated bus route. The hostel mess is run by students, and the food and cooking areas are hygienic. Unfortunately, there is no Wi-Fi on campus or in the hostel, and the internet connectivity in the area is poor. Finally, there is an on-site general physician, but no sports are played on campus because there is no playground.
Faculty: Some of the faculty were helpful, but the quality of teaching was not fine. The curriculum was outdated and not up to industry standards. It was very difficult to pass semester exams, and there were a lot of students who were held back. The university intentionally fails students to milk them for exam fees.
Other: Our college campus is lacking in its curriculum, teaching outdated subjects instead of industry-standard education. There are very few events, and those are mostly formal. The campus is isolated, situated about 60 kilometers from the city. On the plus side, the campus is surrounded by greenery, and cellular connectivity is okay, although there is no Wi-Fi.

    Dissatisfied because of no placements.
Placements: My batch was 2018-2022. There were 200 students in my batch and other 1200 students were in Civil, mechanical and E&c department. My course was CSE and there were 2 sections (A&B). We finished our course and recruiting companies came to our college but didn't offer much. The highest package was 1.2 Lacs per annum, which was below average itself. I personally chose not join any company and decided to do my M.Teach. Companies were TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Hcl, Reliance etc. 60 % of students including myself got internship at Internshala. Top roles which offered were Software developed, web designer, It project manager etc.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure were pretty basic. There was no Wi-Fi in the concerned department available for the students. Labs were not available in our department so we were supposed to go to E&c department to do out Matlab projects. Now about library you were supposed to take only 2 books at a time which caused alot of problems for me and other students. Classrooms were big and only 1 fan was there in summers. No eating system was present in winter. There is no college canteen available.
Faculty: Teaching was pretty average and the faculty of the department was worse. They never tried to help and neither they taught well. Finishing 60 percent syllabus and taking the exam of 100 percent was their thing always. Semester exams were so difficult and they used to fails students so that can get the rechecking money. Pass entage was 40%. .
Other: I chose the CSE course because it is the future. I wish if the CSE department is more helpful to the students.

Please do not go to this college; you will regret it.
Placements: The placement of North Campus is not good, and there is no proper placement in our college. Our placement cell is not good, and companies like Saras Analytical come to our college, but hire no one. As I talked to seniors, they were just not interested in our college.
Infrastructure: Don't talk about the infrastructure; the infrastructure is not good. Only one building has three classrooms, and the classrooms are good, with two ACs in each class and proper technology. But the labs are below average, with old PCs that have no power and are not capable of running basic software.
Faculty: The faculty is average, having maximum number of contractual teachers and only 2-3 permanent professors, and I will tell you the permanent professors are not good, but most of the contractual professors are good; they support us, but overall, the teaching staff according to teaching is bad.
Other: I chose the course because it was very near my home. Everything needs to be improved. Yes, some events take place, but not many.

Review of SSM College of Engineering.
Placements: Around 60 students got placed through the entrance JKCET, and few seats were reserved for fee quota. The average salary package offered was around 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies were Intel, Google, Amazon, Jio, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was good. I would rate it 1 star for infrastructure.
Faculty: Our teachers were less effective, and whatever they taught was irrelevant. Semester exams were conducted during winter, and it was tough for students. There were two exam papers in a single day.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in it.

I am satisfied with this college.
Placements: The placement percentage is very less or negligible in our college. Hardly any company visited the college during our time and in fact, the college did not have any placement cell. They recently made a placement cell that hardly recruited any students. SSM College is below par as far as placements are concerned.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. Our college has good labs and classrooms. A hostel facility is also available for boys. Our college does not have any hostel for girls. Some private hostels are available outside the colleges for girls and boys. The college has a good canteen and some other private restaurants so food quality is good.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are good and hard-working but the problem lies in the administration block. The employees in the administrative block are very rude and they hardly care about your time or money. The major problem of the college is the delay in exams and results. Exams are always delayed due to some reasons which cause delays in degrees.
