Kuvempu University conducts entrance exam for MBA, MCA, BPEd and MPEd. Admissions for MCA and MBA courses are made through PGCET conducted by KEA, Bengaluru. However, a separate Entrance Test will be conducted by Kuvempu University to fill up unfilled seats. There shall be an entrance test for admission to M.P.Ed and B.P.Ed conducted by the University. Sahyadri Science College, Kuvempu University is a well-known institution for B.Sc., BCA, M.Sc. courses. These programs are delivered by highly experienced faculty. As per Shiksha verified reviews, Sahyadri Science College, Kuvempu University has a rating of 3.4 on the basis of reviews by students. Not just this, it has also been rated 3 on campuslife, 3 on placements, 4 on faculty and 4 on Infrastructure.

There is no such provision for direct admission to any of the programmes at Kuvempu University. The university course admissions are both merit and entrance-exam-based. For MBA and MCA, the university fills the unfilled seats through university entrance exam. KU also conducts an entrance test for admission to BPEd and MPEd courses. Once the selection is over, Kuvempu University releases a selection list to announce the names of selected candidates.

Kuvempu University provides various scholarships in the form of hostel fee, fee reimbursement, day scholar fee concession, Defense Scholarships, free food & accommodation, Post-Matric Scholarships, and others. Kuvempu University offers national-level scholarships provided by the Indian government and state-level scholarships offered by the Karnataka Government. Kuvempu University admissions are merit-based for B.Ed course. Aspirants must complete a minimum of graduation to get admission in B.Ed. Once the selection process is over, aspirants need to come for document verification. Selected candidates are required to pay the course fee to confirm their seat in the university.
