The university also accepts various state and national-level entrance exams such as PERA CET, JEE Main, CAT, MAT, NEET UG, etc. Those who want to get admission to any of the UG and PG courses at MIT-WPU, must fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria in the first place and then appear for the respective entrance exams. For some PG courses such as MBA and MCA, the university also accepts valid scores in personal interview rounds as part of their selection process. The final seat allotment is done based on the counselling rounds.
In order to get admission to MIT-WPU, Pune BTech course, candidates need to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria, i.e., to pass Class 12 with Physics, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects with a minimum of 50-60% aggregate in the PCM group. Admission to this course is completely entrance-based. Aspirants are required to appear in either JEE Main/ MHT CET/ PERA CET entrance exams. Admission to BTech at MIT-WPU, Pune is purely based on a valid score of candidates in the respective entrance exams and their past academic scores. Further, shortlisted candidates also have to submit a Statement of Purpose (SOP) of minimum 500 words.
However, those who seek admission to BTech Bioengineering course, must have passed Class 12 in Physics and Mathematics as main subjects and Biotechnology as optional subjects. The candidates for this course are selected based on NEET UG scores.
Candidates need to pay a fees to apply for a course at MIT-WPU. The application fees for each course is INR 2,000. Aspirants can pay the fees via any of the online payment modes. Aspirants must keep the fee receipt for future reference.
MIT-WPU has international collaborations with various universities abroad, including RWTH Aachen University, Germany; Domus Academy Milano, Italy; Istituto Marangoni, Italy; Rochester Institute of Technology, United States; and University of Vermont, USA; among others to provide exposure to students in the form of various study tours, internships, faculty exchange, etc. MIT-WPU offers scholarships and placement assistance to students. Over the past few years, MIT-WPU has been ranked under multiple streams namely Management, Engineering, Computer Application, and others.
As per the latest report, more than 730 recruiters visited MIT-WPU, Pune campus for 2025 placements and placed students with handsome packages. Earlier, over 600 recruiters participated during the 2024 placement drive.
Candidates can fill out the form MIT WPU form online. Aspirants need to followt the below steps to apply:
- Visit the admission portal of MIT-WPU.
- Fill out name, email ID, mobile number, etc.
- Fill out the form.
- Upload photograph and signature.
- Pay an application fee of INR 2,000.
MIT-WPU admissions are open for all courses. Candidates can apply online for the preferred programme. The university conducts MIT-WPU CET for admission. Candidates with a score in any of the accepted entrance exams can also get admission. MIT-WPU offers courses in Arts, Engineering, Science, Management, Commerce and other streams.
Candidates must pass Class 12 with 50% aggregate with English subject in any stream (45% aggregate for reserved category) to apply for BBA (Hons) at MIT-WPU. Aspirants should have documents proving their eligibility at the time of admission.
