The minimum eligibility to apply for BCA at MIT Pune is to pass Class 12 in the Science stream or pass a Diploma in Engineering. Yes, MIT Pune BCA admissions are entirely entrance-based. The university selects eligible candidates based on its in-house entrance exam, i.e., MIT WPU-CET. The university conducts a common entrance test for the selection of candidates for its UG & PG courses. This exam is conducted in online mode. In the selection process, there is 100% weightage given for the entrance exam and 50% for the personal interview round. Whoever is willing to get admission to this course must qualify for the MIT-WPU CET exam with a valid score. 

The admission process for BCA (Science) course at MIT Pune starts with filling an application form. • The last application date for BTech, PharmD and BPharm courses is April 15, 2026.
• The applications for MBA will close by Jan 27, 2026.
• The last date to apply for PharmD (Lateral Entry) is Apr 30, 2026.
• The application deadline for all other courses is Jan 7, 2026.

In order to get admission to MIT-WPU, Pune BTech course, candidates need to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria, i.e., to pass Class 12 with Physics, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects with a minimum of 50-60% aggregate in the PCM group. Admission to this course is completely entrance-based. Aspirants are required to appear in either JEE Main/ MHT CET/ PERA CET entrance exams. MIT-WPU, Pune, has released the cutoffs for all rounds and categories for admission to BE/BTech courses. According to the JEE Main cutoff 2023, BTech in Mechanical Engineering cutoff ranged from 24215 to 22220 as per the first and the last round for the General AI category students.
