MMU Solan offers admission to candidates based on their merit or entrance exam scores. The university conducts entrance tests for admission to PhD, BSc Nursing and GNM programmes. MMU also accepts NEET and NEET PG scores for admission to MBBS and MD/ MS courses, respectively. For all other courses, selection is based on qualifying exam scores of the candidates. Further, the university releases a merit list to announce the names of the selected aspirants. Once the seat is allotted to candidates, they need to confirm the same by paying the course fee.

The hostel fees at Maharishi Markandeshwar University, Solan is 24000 for male and female both have the same fee.The hostels are in the campus and not far away from the college. The students are accommodation is on 2 students and 1 room basis. Each one of is has to share or room with 1 student. Hostel rooms are neat and clean, hygiene is pretty well maintained, house keepers daily comes in the room to clean. There are 2 seater rooms.

Candidates who have completed Class 12 are eligible to apply for MMU Solan UG courses. The university offers BSc, BVoc, MBBS, BSc Nursing, etc. at the UG level. The aggregate requirement for most of the UG programmes is 50%. There is a relaxation of 5% in aggregate for SC/ ST candidates for some of the courses. Candidates also need to appear for entrance test for admission to a few UG programmes.

MMU Solan offers direct admission to some of the programmes based on their merit. Candidates seeking admission in BSc, BVoc, MSc, Diploma and value-added courses are selected based on their qualifying exam scores. Once selected, aspirants have to participate in counselling and seat allotment process. Aspirants also have to confirm their seat by paying the course fee.

The requirement for NEET depends on the course applied by the candidates. MMU Solan considers NEET-UG scores for admission to MBBS programme whereas, NEET-PG scores is required for MD and MS courses. Aspirants with a valid NEET score need to participate in centralised counselling conducted by the Government of Himachal Pradesh. Those who are allotted seat need to pay the course fee.

Candidates who are selected for admission at MMU Solan need to participate in counselling rounds for seat allotment. Aspirants need to report at the campus with the below-mentioned documents for verification:

• Original Matric Certificate (as proof of date of birth)
• Original marksheet/ Certificate of qualifying examination
• Character Certificate
• Migration Certificate
• Affidavits against ragging
• 1 set of attested photocopies of the above documents except Migration Certificate

All the rooms have been designed to provide adequate moving space and ample air and light. Each hostel has its own mess providing hygienic and nutritious meals three times a day. The menu is designed to cater to a range of taste buds.

The University makes the best possible efforts to provide the best of services and facilities within the hostels. To make the stay of the students a pleasant one they are constantly involved in organizing various events, activities and celebrations within the hostels. Various sports and cultural clubs have been made for the students to enhance their participation and knowledge.

The requirement of entrance exam varies course-wise. Aspirants seeking admission in BSc Nursing, GNM and PhD courses have to appear for the entrance exam conducted by MMU Solan. For MD/ MS and MBBS programmes, the seats are offered to candidates based on their NEET-PG and NEET-UG scores, respectively. For all other courses, aspirants do not require passing any entrance test. Admission is granted based on their merit in the last qualifying exam.

MMU Solan offers programmes at UG, PG and doctoral levels. Besides, the university offers Diploma and value-added courses. The university offers programmes across various streams such as Science, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Medical, etc. Aspirants are required to meet the eligibility criteria to apply for the preferred course. Admission to MMU Solan courses is both merit and entrance-based.

Candidates while filling out the application form for MMU Solan need to upload some documents. In case of offline submission, aspirants are required to attach the below documents with the form:
