B.Tech. in Production and Industrial Engineering - Batch of 2029

Absolutely satisfied because of placements and college life.
Placements: I am from Production and Industrial Engineering, which comes under the Mechanical Department. In the Production and Industrial Engineering branch, in the year 2025, out of 30 eligible candidates, around 80 percent got placed. The average CTC was 9 LPA. The highest package was 14 LPA. The lowest package was less than 6 LPA. The average and highest packages are quite volatile. In 2023, the average package was 11 LPA. The highest package was 33 LPA. Top recruiting companies include AB InBev, Deloitte, ZS Associates, and Accenture. Students are also allowed to sit for software and other branch placements at companies like Google, Microsoft, and Amazon.
Infrastructure: In our hostels, rooms are divided into two parts. One for the bedroom and one for the study area. Although we do not have ACs, we can use coolers. There is one canteen and two mess facilities for first-year hostels, while second, third, and fourth-year students have multiple canteens and mess facilities. Some classrooms are large lecture halls equipped with ACs, while others are not. The mess food is quite average, but the canteens, especially in senior hostels, are good. The first-year hostel canteen is average. The library is equipped with ACs and contains thousands of books.
Faculty: Our teachers mostly have PhDs and good knowledge of the curriculum. The curriculum is mostly relevant, with a few extra subjects. Semester exams are not very difficult if students study regularly, but last-minute preparation makes them difficult. During exam times, coffee is also provided.
Other: The college life is really good with lots of clubs and committees, which make the campus enjoyable. We have Nishad for the music club, Alchemy for the dramatics club, MHM for the photography club, and many other clubs. The main cultural fest is Culrav, and the technical fest is Avishkar. Students often get chances to represent the college in competitions at IITs and other NITs.

Good in placement for CSE.
Placements: So, talking about the percentage of students getting placed, in CSE, the placement rate is about 96% in 2025. The highest package was 72 LPA. Meanwhile, the average package is 27.72 LPA in 2025. Top recruiters are Oracle, Atlassian, Microsoft, and D.E. Shaw. Around 100 to 150 students got internships of which around 80% are from CSE.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is below expectations. Classrooms are below average. The library and labs are good, though. The college provides internet through LAN in the hostel, which enables you to browse. No desktop apps, no games will run on LAN. In the first year, the hostel is good with good food quality and just a single canteen in the hostel itself. The college provides medical facilities where you can get free medicine if prescribed by a doctor and stamped. Sports and games are conducted by the athletic team.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, and the teaching quality is good. Some subjects, especially Maths, are tough for most of the students, and it's not easy to get good grades. It totally depends on the professor for relative or absolute grading. There are a few subjects we have to study apart from our course and from another department, and also some subjects not related to CSE. Semester exams are easy, though. Good scoring and grading are also good. The pass percentage for subjects except for mathematics is almost 100% in the first year.
Other: I chose this course in this college due to its high placement rate. Placements, especially for CSE, are better than many other national institutes. I would like the department to focus more on teaching subjects related to our department rather than others. Events are conducted frequently. There are a lot of opportunities to participate in many events. A lot to learn from the events. Like HACK 36 is a 36-hour hackathon which is conducted by our college. Similarly, many Aviskar is an event under which you can participate in teaching events. The college has its fest named Culrav every year.

College is fine, placements are good. Campus life is decent.
Placements: Placement season is all around, and most of the seniors I know have been placed at the start of their final year. Top recruiting companies are often Goldman Sachs, and there are also second years who got internships this year. Some were doing GSoC. Since the beginning, there have been three major domains that one can go for: app development, web development, and AI/ML. App development has a somewhat lesser environment here, as most want to do either web development or AI/ML. Though there are students who are quite passionate about app development.
Infrastructure: The library is fine. It has a lot of books and online resources. The hostel for first years is also good. Don't believe people who want to be relatable. Hostel food and facilities are quite nice, the food is fine, and there are three food outlets on campus. The mess is pure veg, so it's a good option for those who don't want non-veg. Medical facilities are also good. There is an on-campus ambulance, and they also take us to hospitals outside, even at night, and medicines are free from the dispensary.
Faculty: Some teachers are more like professionals, but some have a genuine interest. You just have to pay attention, and they will solve your doubts. The course curriculum for CSE is relevant, as they start teaching AI, ML, and C in the first semester. Exams are fine. It's mostly dependent on who's making the paper.
Other: The infrastructure is average, though the college is old. There is a lot of greenery, but the classrooms are mid. Also, the campus is quite small, as most of the area is divided into girls' and boys' hostel areas.

Dissatisfied with the infrastructure, the faculty is good, but 75% attendance is mandatory.
Placements: In the Computer Science branch of MNNIT, around 96 percent of eligible students got placed. The highest package offered is 72 LPA while the average package is 27 LPA. The lowest package is around 4.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Google, Microsoft, and Amazon. 20-30 percent of students got internships in their pre-final year. Top roles are offered, including software developers, full-stack developers, data analysts, etc. Overall, good placement opportunities in MNNIT as in CSE.
Infrastructure: Decent infrastructure of classrooms and labs, including a good LAN connection in labs. Well-maintained library with over a thousand books for the course and other interests. The hostel for the first year is decent, LAN connections are available in all rooms. Only the vegetarian mess is present in the hostel, providing decent food. One canteen is in the hostel which is open late at night, and one stationery shop is also in the hostel.
Faculty: Teachers in the CSE department are highly qualified and experienced. Most hold a Ph.D. degree from a reputed institute with strong academic credentials. They are helpful and approachable if you are interested in learning. The teaching is good on the theoretical side and decent on the practical side also. Assignments and projects are heavy.
Other: I am interested in the CSE field. The best thing about the course is that it gives deep knowledge and exposure to many new things. Practical should be more focused rather than theory. Events and fests are very good in this college, and the coding culture is also.

Really good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: 60 percent of civil engineering students got placed from this college. The highest package for civil engineering students is approximately 39 LPA. The average package for civil engineering students is approximately 13 LPA. The lowest package is not available.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college is very good. There are a lot of labs available for civil engineering students. Hostels are provided with free Wi-Fi. A dispensary is available for medical emergencies. The quality of the mess food may be of decent quality.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members have completed their graduation from NITs. They have a lot of knowledge to share with students. They use both languages, Hindi and English, to interact with their students. Semester exams are a little difficult, but you can pass easily.
Other: I like infrastructure, so I chose it.

Best placements. Average infrastructure. Average sports facilities.
Placements: Placements are really good for Computer Science Engineering, Electronics, and Communication Engineering. Talking about my branch, Civil Engineering, this year our senior Abhinandan sir has got a package of 22 Lacs per annum. This college is known for its best placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite average if I compare this college to other colleges like NIT Jaipur. 1st year and 4th year hostels are good, but 2nd and 3rd year hostels have small rooms. Mess food is average. The internet connection is not good enough to play games unless you have 5G.
Faculty: All the professors are from IITs. They have a deep knowledge of their subject. Although some lab assistants might be rude to you. This college has produced several GATE AIR 1 in the past few years. It's difficult to provide an overall view of semester exams since it depends on the subject and professor.
Other: I chose this college since it is a top NIT, and also it's quite near to my home. We have culrav as our cultural fest and Avishkar as our Technical fest.
