No, NALSAR University of Law does not grant admission without CLAT score. Hence, the course aspirants must take the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) and secure a valid score. CLAT is a pen and paper based test conducted by the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs). After the entrance exam, cutoff marks are announced. LLB, LLM etc. Just like other colleges, here too the fee structure strictly depends upon the programme you are opting for, that is, the fee structure for BA LLB (Hons) will be different than that for the LLM students . NALSAr University of Law offers admission to LLM programme through CLAT score. To get admission to the LLM programme, candidates must fulfill the following conditions:
1. LLB or any equivalent degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate (For candidates belonging to General/ OBC/ PwD/ NRI/ PIO/ OCI category),
or
2. LLB or any equivalent degree with a minimum of 45% aggregate (For candidates belonging to SC/ ST category).
Note: There is no age limit criteria for admission to LLM programme. Provided, if two candidates score's same marks in CLAT paper, then the candidate of higher age is given preference at the time of admission to the university.

NALSAR Hyderabad follows a fee refund policy for students who exits or fails to pay the fee. Below are the conditions for fee refund:
- In case an aspirant exits or fails to pay fee due to NALSAR within the prescribed date, or is found ineligible upon document verification are refunded an amount of INR 20,000 as confirmation fee and INR 5,000 of counselling registration fee.
- In respect of the candidate who does not turn-up for the interview/ on the date notified by the university for document verification, 10% of the tuition fee is retained by the university and the balance amount

Nalsar University is a well know university because of its good placement history . Its been continously giving good placements for a long time now. Year 2023 was not much different, where BA LLB (Hons) students got a median Package of 16 LPA with roughly 81% students placed, and LLM students fetched a median package of 7 LPA with nearly 73% students were placed .
A total of 96 students out of 118 students from BA LLB (Hons) were placed, and 48 students out of 66 students from LLM were placed to be precise.
National Law University Kolkata, being a University of National importance since it's a NLU, offers great packages to its students be it in the BA LLB (Hons) or be it in LLM . Nalsar University stands behind NLU Kolkata (NUJS) with a great placement record over the years. In order to be admitted to NALSAR University of Law's Master of Laws (LLM) program, applicants must have earned at least 50% of their LLB or its equivalent. SC/ST candidates need to receive a minimum of 45% in their scores.
Candidates need to pass the CLAT PG test in order to be accepted into the LLM program. There are three required subjects, six electives, and a dissertation in the one-year curriculum.

Department of Management Studies Nalsar University has zero tolerance policy towards ragging. The institute has a internal committe for ragging complains. The ragging cell helps the students to encourage and report the issue. Students who encounter ragging should report it to designated authorities
