NIMS Institute of Engineering & Technology BTech Eligibility & Highlights 2026

NIMS University BTech is a four-year UG degree course divided into eight semesters. It is offered in a full-time mode. Students can get direct admission through lateral entry in the second year of BTech courses. The available lateral entry courses are Aerospace Engineering, CSE, DS and Engineering, etc. NIMS IET BTech specialisations are Electrical Engineering, IT, Food Technology, etc. The eligibility criteria is candidate need to be Class 12 pass in relevant subjects with at least an aggregate of 45% for unreserved categories and 40% for reserved categories. For admission to BTech lateral entry at NIMS University, candidates must have completed a three-year diploma with at least an aggregate of 45%. NIMS University BTech admission is based on scores of NIMSEE/ JEE Main following counselling.

NIMS University admission is both merit and entrance-based. The university offers a wide range of programmes at UG, PG, and PhD levels. Admission to most of the UG and PG courses is done through the university's in-house entrance exam, NIMSEE. To get admitted to NIMS University, candidates must meet the eligibility criteria set by the college. If you take admission, you will definitely find it worth it.

Placements: Recently, 85 percent of students in my course get placements. The highest package is 42 LPA. The lowest is 3.5 LPA, and the average is 5–6 LPA. The placement cell of our institute is very active and supportive. It provides students with training, workshops, and mock interviews to enhance employability skills. Reputed companies from various sectors visit the campus every year. They offer good packages and career opportunities. Many students are successfully placed in top organizations, reflecting the strong industry-academia connection.

Infrastructure: Our college provides excellent infrastructure for both academics and hostel life. Classrooms are spacious. It includes smart boards and Wi-Fi. The library offers a wide range of books and e-resources. The hostel has clean rooms, 24/7 water and electricity supply. Along with common study areas, hygienic mess facilities, and proper security. It ensures a comfortable and safe environment for students.

Faculty: Our faculty members are qualified and supportive. They are experienced in their respective fields. The curriculum is well structured. It combines theoretical with practical exposure, that meets industry standards. Examinations are systematically with a fair evaluation process. It helps students' academic growth and skill development.

I am absolutely satisfied because of the faculty members and infrastructure.

Placements: The highest package is 17 LPA. The average package is 8 LPA. The lowest package is 4 LPA. The top recruiting companies for our course are Infosys, Justdial, Oyo, Cognizant, TCS, etc. From my course, 4 students got placed in companies like Oyo, TCS, etc. The top roles like data analyst, etc., are offered. In my college, we get a decent package.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is full like a cyber hub and classrooms are fully clean and furnished. In each classroom, there are projectors and AC. There is 24x7 Wi-Fi in the college. The hostel is like a 3-star hotel. The food quality is the best. There are separate sections of a sports complex.

Faculty: The full staff members of the college are from IITs and NITs. They have a full experience of above 5 years. The teaching quality is very good. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students trained for industrial placements. Exams are of moderate level. The pass percentage is 6 CGPA. In my college, the highest CGPA is 9.97.

I am not satisfied because of the faculty members. There are no good placements.

Placements: Students who get placed are about 400 from more than 4000 students. The highest package is 7 LPA and the lowest package is 3 LPA. Almost zero students got internships. The top roles offered are credit card service, Oyo calling service, and management facilities. The top recruiting companies for our course are Justdial, Oyo, and Ambuja Cement.

Infrastructure: In terms of infrastructure, NIMS has the best hostel facilities than any other college at the best price. The mess is also good and above average. The atmosphere is best for enjoying. Classrooms are poor and no AC. Wi-Fi is poor in the college. The library has the best facilities in the college.

Faculty: Teachers are below average and are qualified. They do not have skills that they can reach students. Teachers only give knowledge but are not able to help us. The course curriculum is okay according to the current market. Semester exams are very easy and simple.

Placements: The highest package is 40 LPA, the lowest package is 3-4 LPA, and the average package is 6-7 lakhs, with top companies like Microsoft, Dell, HP, Mahindra, IBM, Oyo, TCS, L&T, Accenture, HCL Tech, and Cognizant recruiting.

Infrastructure: 24/7 open campus, open library, AC libraries, free Wi-Fi in rooms, AC classrooms, smart classes. good hostel mess and food, new hostel rooms with all proper facilities, restaurants and cafes, multiple sports facilities, shops, and shopping malls.

Faculty: Experienced teachers and professors from top institutions like IIT and NITs with very good teaching quality. It provides industrial visits and internship opportunities in the 3rd and 4th years. The difficulty in semester exams varies from moderate to high,and about 85% of students pass the examination.

Other: I want to become a software engineer, so I have chosen this course as it is in demand currently. Leave application and timetable management, various events organized by students and colleges, and sports events are organized every year. The campus location is 40 km away from Jaipur city and is located on the national highway. Scholarships are available according to various requirements. Students with 60% and above can take admissions, and scholarships are available for those who scored above 90 or 95%.

Absolutely amazing experience.

Placements: 80-90% of students get placed in my course. The highest package is 5 LPA and the lowest is 1 LPA. The top recruiting companies are TCS, AirAsia, and ISRO. The roles include maintenance engineer, which provides very technical experience. Most students get internships in my course as well.

Infrastructure: Facilities provided in my university are outstanding. The infrastructure is so cool and amazing that everyone likes it. There is 24/7 Wi-Fi available in the hostel, and all facilities are good. The food is also good, and all facilities are excellent. The management is amazing.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and qualified from IITs, and their knowledge is impressive. They provide us with practical hands-on experience through industry visits and gain some knowledge. Exams are not much difficult. If you study well, you will pass.

Other: This course gives new experience and knowledge for further knowledge.
