Continuous evaluation and interactive sessions are included for further enrichment of the learning of LLM students at RMLNLU. The LLM course at RMNLU is offered in full-time mode and the mode of instruction is offline. Candidates must appear for the CLAT exam to take admission in the course.
The NLU Lucknow CLAT Cutoff 2026 was released till round 2 for all categories under the All India quota. For the PWD AI category, the round 2 for the BA LLB (Hons) course was 16485. The total intake for the LLM programme in RMLNLU is 31 seats. The apportioning of the seat total would ideally be so made as to leave room for accommodating different categories for admission to the University. This will be a purely merit-based admission through the CLAT PG exam, followed by counseling. In this manner, RMLNLU can continue to serve as a hub of competitive yet comradely fellow students of the future legal persons who will be trained to undertake different responsibilities in the fields of law.

The eligibility criteria for the BA LLB Hons course at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow (NLU Lucknow) are as follows :
- There is no upper age limit for the undergraduate programme in Common Law Admission Test (CLAT).
- Candidates must have secured 45% marks or its equivalent grade in the qualifying examination (i.e., 10+2 or an equivalent examination) if they belong to the General / OBC / PWD / NRI / PIO / OCI categories.
- Candidates must have secured 40% marks or equivalent in the qualifying examination (i.e., 10+2 or an equivalent examination) if they belong to the SC/ST categories.
- Candidates who are appearing in the qualifying examination in March/April are also eligible to appear in the CLAT examination. However, they shall be required to produce evidence of their passing the qualifying examination at the time of admission, failing which they shall lose their right to be considered for admission.
- The result of the qualifying examination (i.e., 10+2) shall be submitted by the candidate at the time of admission failing which the candidate shall be ineligible for admission to the Course.
The admission to the BA LLB Hons course for the academic year 2024 is based on the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT), which was conducted on 2 Dec ’23 .
The application process for PhD and PG Diploma courses is conducted on the official website of NLU Lucknow. Whereas, for admission to BA LLB and LLM courses, candidates must register for CLAT exam at consortiumofnlus.ac.in. The registration process is common for all UG & PG courses. RMLNLU Lucknow Cutoff 2026 was out for Round 1 for admission to BA LLB (Hons) and LLM programme for students under the All India quota. The Round 1 closing cutoff rank for the General AI students was 747 for the BA LLB (Hons) course. For the same category, the Round 1 closing rank for Master of Law (LLM) course was 290, indicating that the competition for this course is higher than the BA LLB (Hons) course.

Yes, LLM is available at RMLNLU. It is a full-time, one-year course and is designed for people looking for higher legal education. For admission to the LLM programme offered at RMLNLU, candidates have to qualify in the CLAT examination and also meet the eligibility criterion of having a recognised undergraduate Law degree with an aggregate mark of 50% or above. It nurtures profound knowledge and practical competencies in students in various aspects of the law, leaning toward different career prospects within the profession of law.
To get admission in NLU Lucknow, students must meet the eligibility. Check the eligibility below:
- For UG admission, students must pass Class 12 with 45% from a recognised board.
- For PG admission, students must have a graduation degree with an aggregate of 50% from a recognised university.
- For PhD admission, students must have a post-graduate degree with 55%.
The applicants are systematically admitted to the LLM programme at RMLNLU. Candidates have to first register and apply for the CLAT PG, which is the requisite test that allows them entry into the institution. After the declaration of the result for CLAT PG, candidates shall look for a cut-off list released by RMLNLU. Candidates who will meet the cut-off shall be considered for counselling. Admission to the LLM programme at RMLNLU are currently closed. Applications are accepted based on the CLAT PG scores. The CLAT PG test was held on December 7, 2025. Candidates seeking admission through the CLAT PG test have to satisfy the eligibility in terms of admission, where candidates must have an undergraduate law degree with at least an aggregate of 50%. Thus, the above-mentioned dates are tentative and as per the official website.

To get scholarship at NLU Lucknow, students must meet the eligibility. The eligibility of scholarship for BA LLB students is the highest merit in CLAT along with A-Grade in Class 12 exams. Scholarship for LLM students, is offered to student with the highest merit in the CLAT with not less than 8.5 CPI/CPG in the bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
Out of the 2024 batch at RMLNLU, 24 students were placed successfully. In the placements, 14 students each got placed in law firms, while 4 went to corporate organizations. Further, 10 students got placed in the lawyers' chambers. The average package offered in the 2024 placements was INR 9 LPA. Yes, RMLNLU charges a one-time fee for the LLM course. There is a one-time payment after the selection of candidates, which is INR 20,000, including admission fee and caution deposit refundable in addition to the tuition fee that has to be paid annually. However, the aggregate amounting to INR 35,000 sums up to INR 55,000 as course fees for the LLM course. The above-mentioned fees are subject to revision. Hence it emanates from the official website/sanctioning body and is inductive.

NLU Lucknow LLM fees is INR 45,000. NLU Lucknow fee structure includes many components. The total fees may differ at the time of payment due to the variable of the fee structure.

Yes, though there is no separate application fee for applying to RMLNLU students must pay application fees to register for the CLAT exam and counselling process through which students are selected.
The CLAT application fee is INR 4000 for both UG and PG level admissions. This fee can be paid online
