Getting admission to Oriental University for a BSc is not very difficult. There is no entrance exam required to get admitted into the programme. The minimum aggregate in Class 12 required to be eligible for BSc admission at the university is also not very high. Candidates need to secure a minimum of 50% in Class 12 to be eligible to apply for various BSc courses. Candidates just need to ensure that they meet the preset eligibility criteria and timely register for the counselling rounds on the university's official website.

Oriental University starts accepting early bird registrations for various programmes typically in February. The early bird registration for BSc at the university commenced on Feb 2026. The University offers 100% placement assistance to its students. As per the official brochure, 886 placements were made during the academic year 2024-25. Oriental University admits students to its MBA programme through multiple counselling rounds. The last date to apply for these counselling rounds varies from year to year. In 2024, the registrations for the first admission round were concluded on April 30, 2024. The university has recently concluded its fourth admission round on August 14, 2024. The fifth (last) admission round commenced on August 15, 2024. The last date to apply for the final admission round has not been released by the university yet. It will be based on the government guidelines.

Engineering Courses

Admission to Oriental University is both entrance-based and merit-based. For undergraduate technical courses, admission is through the 12th percentage and national level test JEE. However, for other courses, admission is granted based on the 12th standard marks itself.
