Yes, JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) marks are accepted by Periyar Maniammai University for admission to its engineering majors. Applicants may apply for admission to Periyar Maniammai University's B.Tech programs if they have taken the JEE Main entrance test and have a valid score. Students must have passed the 12th grade with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for the reserved category) in addition to having a valid JEE Main score.
PMU creates an admission merit list and shortlists students for counseling and seat distribution based on the JEE Main and 12th results.During the counseling procedure, seats are distributed according to JEE Main rank, programme preference, academic standing, category, availability, etc.

Periyar Maniammai University offers more than fifteen undergraduate and postgraduate level courses in various fields such as Architecture,  Engineering,  Arts & Science,  Management and more. Periyar Maniammai University has launched various new courses in the fields of Management, Science and Commerce.

Periyar Maniammai Institute of Science and Technology admissions are entrance-based. The institute considers national-level entrance exam scores for various course admission. The entrance exams accepted are NATA, GATE, etc. The university also offers doctorate and MPhil courses besides the UG and PG courses. PMIST BTech students are eligible to apply for sholarships under various categories. These scholarships include Merit Scholarship, Sports Scholarship, Farmers & Weavers Scholarship, Alumni Scholarship, etc. Students can apply for these scholarships while filling out the registration form for course admission. The scholarships are awarded to the students of BTech courses based on the merit list prepared for admission. The sanctioned scholarship will be given throughout the programme subject to the fulfilment of the condition that the student has passed all the semester exams and has a minimum of 80% attendance in the previous academic year.
